Just so you all know :)

Excellent bargain, up until a couple of weeks ago, not even the 1gig model was down at that price!!!
#12
does this have fm radio, all tthe ones i saw else where had fm radio.
#13
This one doesnt have fm radio or a screen. Its a good price for a 2GB mp3 player but the lack of a screen means its very hard to find a particular song/album out of the 1000 songs it holds.

I've got the one with the screen, love the size (its absolutely tiny) but hate the battery life - i struggle to get 2 hours out of it. So excellent player for the price but very basic.

Does this has fm radio. sorry for the trouble
#15
it is of no use to me without a screen.
#16
Tough - out of stock at all my nearest stores. Voted hot all the same.
#17
just been to crewe currys, 14.99 a bargain falling well short on a 1000 songs to fill it but hey, I can work on that.
#18
Might pick one up as I plan to learn languages and figure it would be handy to have a smaller mp3 player to take with me.

Although I also kind of then want one for music...but I need to stop spending money.

#21
i've been and picked one of these up, thanks OP. My mate will be well chuffed at his extra pressie for his birthday :)

If you have a relative or friend who is visually impaired then this would make an excellent gift, my brother is partially sighted and he loves his, very simple controls which he manages no problem.

I just stick more albums when he gets bored of what he is listening to. The only extra I had to get him was a mains charger for it.

Thanks to the OP for posting this

There is no radio on this version, the FM Radio + Screen is only on the Creative Zen Stone plus.

It comes with headphones and a USB charging cable.

Yes without a screen it can be a pain to find a particular song, but its not really designed for that, its like an ipod shuffle, more for runners or people not too fussy what song they listen too :)

No software is needed, it shows up as a 'device with removable storage' under windows explorer.

I think its a really nice bit of kit and a steal at this price.

Checked, doesn't support AAC. Great if all your music is in MP3 or WMV though, but if you've used iTunes to rip your music, you'll have AAC unless you changed the default setting. Given that it's an open standard (MP3 actually isn't!) and most mobile phones support it, I find this a very odd omission.

at 2gb you'll be lucky to fit more than 250 tracks on at a decent quality (192kbit / v2).

but hate the battery life - i struggle to get 2 hours out of it. So excellent player for the price but very basic.

Everyone goes on about how good the battery life is on these but I've had the same experience - on 3 different players I've had no more than 2.5 hours of playback.

Great deal! Just ordered one at my local store for Fathers Day! Heat added.

Mebbe, I've got 600 on at the moment with 1/3 still free but thats wma at 128kbits (I can't tell the difference between 128 and 192).

Hope the quote thing worked, first time I have tried to use it.....

She loves it. Fits nicely in her purse!!
