A good player for a good price; I have a 5gb version for a year or so and it's excellent. :)

did I miss something here? Are you talking about the Zen Micro?

I don't think these have been out for a year and I don't think there's a 5GB version?!?!

Just trying to clarify for others, no offence meant, I've got loads of creative stuff and have been happy with it all.

Are you talking about the Zen Micro?

Yes, sorry I meant the micro

I wanted to give a word of support to Creative players, sorry for confusion... ;-)

ok, we're barking from the same hymnsheet, good.

I tried upgrading from ZM to ZM Photo but wasn't a big fan of the colour screen because you had to touch the keypad to make it light up if you wanted to glance at what was playing - does anyone know if the same will apply with ZVP?

I'm tempted but concerned if the battery is non-replaceable.

Does anyone know if Creative replaces batteries and if so for how much? If they're not replaceable should I accept and expect to eventually throw the unit in the bin when the battery dies or use it without portability using the mains charger.

I don't wish to sound negative about this item, it's just that I've got so use to replaceable Lithium batteries in my portable Mini Disc player.

Thanks for the post rayman.

don't know, but generally creative products don't have a fraction of the battery issues of ipods. there may be an answer at www.nomadness.net - good forums there for creative gear. if no-one's asked already, you'll soon get an answer.

I remember reading about the battery issues of ipods in some audio mag. I think the problems have now been resolved but I still have a stronger interest/preference for creative zens over ipods.

Thanks for the reply & link sossidge.
