Great price!

Just noticed, the black one is £127.85 / free delivery

It's unlikely that you'll find it cheaper!

I have been lookin to buy this for months - finally buy it from amazon on tuesday for 140 quid and on the day its delivered this gets posted:x :x :x
#5
I'm really tempted but I don't want a pink one :/
#6
phatboy: if you buy something off amazon and it increases in price within a certain number of days (14 or 28 maybe? I'm not sure,) they will refund you the difference!

This: http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39268&highlight=amazon+price explains how.

...and naturally I didn't actually read the first post. you can get things returned too, but afaik it's at your own cost.

Well, I've been looking at these for weeks and at £99 delivered plus possibly 3% quidco I couldn't resist. Yes, its pink but in all honesty I doubt I'm going to be waving it about in anyone elses face anyway. Went on ebay, got a cheap cover delivered from the US for £3 - blushes spared:oops:

Great post OP
#8
excellent post, gfs present sorted, thanks.
#9
whats video playback like?
#10
grrr if only it wasnt in pink.
#11
could you get one of those skins to cover it up?

I know how you feel, I bought mine from Amazon last week for £145 and was watching them for months as well...

The price has dropped on Amazon, so I emailed them, and they gave me a £10 refund... You should be able to do the same!
#13
Battery life on this doesn't appear to be particularly long, but a great deal anyway. Unfortunately as a massive red-blooded male it will be out of keeping with my image to be seen dead with a pink MP4 player.

Only real men wear pink. Or have pink MP4 players. :whistling:

well of course if you were secure enough in your masculinity....................;-)

Very nice and cheap price, made me do some research. If you do get one, make sure you get a cover/skin/sleeve for it, they scratch REAL easy. Other then that I'd suggest checking out http://www.epizenter.net/

You're right... It was down to £134.99 over the weekend though... I am certain as I just got the refund today...

Onto the subject of a pink mp3 player... I bought the black version last week, but I would've bought the pink one if I had known it would've saved me £35-45... and I'm male... :p
#19
Amazing price DD paid £60 for a 2GB pink one a few months ago. they are really good thoug, would recommend. Heat & rep added

I appreciate the colour issue may dissuade some of the more macho types out there but really, get over it fellas. As I previously said, my 'combat cover' cost me £3.20 shipped from the States and, coupled with the free video cable offer from dabs/creative + confirmed £2.55 from Quidco, this is a good deal. Pink, no problemo - and I'm in the Forces
#21
I would have to buy a different colour skin case for it otherwise I would still rather pay £35 quid more for one that wasn't pink!
#22
Thanks I missed out on the black on for John Lewis the other week that was for me and OH to share, ordered a pink one as daughter gives me ear ache for a mp3 player.

Anyone recommend a cheapo site for a pink cover for it :) Thanks again

Ordered through pigsbank which slightly better offer than Quidco/TCB

Hehe, I think your right. If I never had my w810i for music I would of went for this. (I may still) It's just annoying that when I listen to music on my phone it runs down the battery on the phone. Now a mp3 player with a dead battery is fine, but my phone with a dead battery is annoying. :/

I've got an 810i as well, but 30gb with vid & radio capability was really too much to ignore :) (especially as I have an household of iPod owners ...)

Welcome and thanks to the original poster of this, excellent find, excellent price.

I have owned the white vision m now for a year (£200 then!) and it is an excellent player, wipes the floor in battery life, media compatiblity and display compared to the 5th Gen Ipod it rivals.

My wife has just ordered this one now (she isnt much of a gadget freak unless its pink!) and just a reminder to everyone that is thinking of ordering to remember to go through your Quidco accounts if you have one for 3% cashback making the deal slightly sweeter at £97 delivered (Delivery free currently at Dabs over Easter), the free video cable offer with it from Creative is worth £12 alone!

As another poster commented these scratch very easily, I left the screen protector on mine until I ordered a invisible shield from bestskinsever.com, highly recommended you do this straight away regardless of using a case or a silicon skin on top as this will protect the player from the outset from any scratches. A year down the line and my player still looks as good as new with its shield and leather case protecting it.

Another note, strongly recommend anyone upgrades the firmware from the US creative website as this will remove the volume limitations applied by EU regulations resulting in compromised maximum volume.
#27
Nuts... just bought the wife a black one for £140 from Amazon. Sigh!
#28
Really good deal, if I hadnt got mine sent over with an aunt from the US a few months ago, I'd go for this, even if it is pink. A case is needed as it scratches very easily, so that will cover up the pink lol
#29
I think all these posts have convinced me to get one for my Birthday (tomorrow, yippie!). Will put the order in asap :) Rep + heat!

Yep, same here arrived in a week or less, I would recommend though ordering 3 to take advantage of free delivery, and in case of application mess ups. Also the edges of them can get grubby over time. These are not hard to apply providing you follow details and quickly align the parts whilst the water/soap solution is still damp before it starts to dry out on the player. Also no need to go for the full body skin only the face one, the back of all Vision M units are sturdier in construction being a powder coated plate, also I have read that they are harder to apply for full body protection and really not necessary, the back of my unit after a year is fine although I do keep it also in a leather case.

I have used their skins on PSP & DS as well, highly recommended.

Custom Skin it with any image if the colour bothers ....as posted previous.....iv'e been mucking about and you can get some nice designs...in Pink too if you want..... :-)

Doh! I also just bought one from amazon for £140, oh well.

Im still happy that its still £50 cheaper than most shops. Things always get cheaper it just depends how long you want to wait for it. I saw the pink was cheaper on Amazon and think it looks really cool but id be too embarassed to pull out a pink player on the train etc. Not very manly!
#34
Many thanks for the message. I bought one yesterday as soon as I read your message. Just hope it is wonderful as it says in the review! thanks.
#35
I LOVE pink! :-D

Thank you very much to the original poster

Yep with the Vision M you have the option to both Upgrade the firmware as well as delete the firmware from the machine.

If your EU Vision M already has the same firmware version number as the US Vision M, then simply delete the firmware first from the unit then install the US firmware, otherwise it doesnt overwrite. Hold Power on switch whilst tapping a paper clip into the reset hole to get to the OS menu, then select reload firmware to erase and reflash and voila volume restriction now gone!
