Seems a pretty decent deal for a 16GB flash memory touch screen player, heat added.

Damn this site! I've got the old Creative Zen model and I'm considering upgrading as this model looks really nice! I like the added features where you can plug this into a telly to watch films!

Can I ask a question?

Why would anyone buy one of these when nearly every mobile can do the same thing?

Good price, but no SD integration??? Meh...
Got rid of my ZEN for that exact reason. Buyers Beware, if you think your gonna expand this up you will be dissapointed. IMHO :)

Does have a micro SD card slot so can be expanded.
Looks good to me - I don't know any £100 smart phones with a 3" screen that play WMV9/DivX4/5 and Xvid out of the box!! It's also a true media device so it's likely that the audio/video chipset is better quality than a mobile.

I think what Pagemaster menat was that the expansion is not fully intergrated with the player, i.e. you simply access the media on the SD card. If you play a film and paused it you won't be able to get to the same point if you decided to turn the player off, whras this is possible if the film was stored directly on the player. I've got a similar set-up with my Creative Zen player, and although it is slightly annoying, it didn't stop me buying it. I have to admit that it is slightly misleading.

Well the SD is kind of integrated. A reviewer on the amazon website states that:

"The micro SD card doesn't exactly integrate with the library, but files imported from the card are integrated, which is a step in the right direction. With the X-Fi 1 files were stored in a separate area which was a bit inconvenient. But this does mean that to integrate, for example, a 2GB card, you need to have 2GB of spare memory on the player."

If i remember correctly, mk1 version of this had wi-fi but this has been dropped forthe mk2. From looking at some of the reviews, good reasons for buying this little puppy is a) the truly superior sound quality and b) it's not an ipod.

At this price the ZEN X-Fi2 is a competitive deal IMHO compared to the all conquering Ipod nano.

Where does it say that the offer expires on Sunday?

Also, note that although Amazon quote the RRP as £149.99, the price from Creative is now only £129.99 - http://uk.store.creative.com/zenxfi2/?utm_source=uk.europe.creative.com&utm_medium=Banner&utm_content=HomepageMHL_ZENXFi2Promo&utm_campaign=Promo_ZENXFi2

Still a good price though!

Yes, mobiles can do the same thing. But the video and audio quality is not the same, and some people want to preserve their mobile battery life.

Add an IXOS Speaker Cube for £1.49 when purchasing this at Amazon

I guess it doesnt do web browsing ? As much as I hate them my mrs wants an ipod touch I need a viable alternative and I dont think there is one :(

Also reading the reviews it doesnt do xvid / divx its through conversion software so a deal breaker for me.

Deal breaker for me too. DivX/Xvid would be the reason why I'd get it. £149 will get an 8GB iPod touch - if I am going to have to convert movies - I'll do them to the apple format. Shame - was going to go for it.

Voted hot, excellent price for their new model, I'd buy it but I got an x-fi earlier this year!

Very functional, looks great and the sound is better than anything that Apple can provide.
