Ordered 2 x 4GB chips few days ago at £27.35 each + delivery, however price now dropped to £24.67 + delivery.

I ordered 2 chips for my HP Microserver (deal posted a while a go) and also added StarTechcom 5.25" Trayless Hot Swap Mobile Rack for 3.5" Hard Drive storage mobile rack, so got free delivery.
I assume delivery is free for items over certain amount. Cheapest delivery option is £2.49!

I guess you could, but only 4 in stock at the moment!

Good deal

I don't think they would meet the low-profile requirements for the HP Proliant servers that have been flying out of the shops recently...

id spend £10 more and get one with heatsinks from ebuyer

What do you think the heatsinks do then? hehe.

is this confirmed working in the proliant micro server, got 4 gig of corsair stuff and it did nothing but crash

cheers

buy heatsinks and fit em yourself for 50p
unless you have a server why would you want 8GB.
Im a hardcore gamer with the Virtual Memory turned off and I still havent got my pc to max out my 4gig.

Still pending delivery, so can't confirm. I believe I found this RAM on another thread about HP microserver...

ok cheers, not to worry just picked up a 1 gig stick of eec mem (from one of these micro servers) for £6.50 delivered, so 2 gig will do me for now, 1 gig is low for win 7 lol

cheers anyway, dont forget to post results though.

Crescent are rubbish, I've placed two orders with them in the past both because they offered the best price at the time and both got canceled a few days later saying they had no stock!

I was warned about Crescent on a recent deal for a 128GB Corsair SSD for £128, but I ordered one anyway.
Arrived within the stated delivery time.

You're either lucky, or your not. But no harm in trying.

I found this HP microserver deal on HUKD and told my colleagues about it (we all work in IT dept.).
Colleague 1 ordered day before me, I ordered microserver next day, another colleague ordered it 3rd day, and the last colleague ordered it maybe 5 days after I did.
Colleague that ordered it 3rd hasn't received it and got cancellation email, where the rest of us did get, even the one that ordered later! Does that make sense? - No!

I ordered a Microserver a couple of weeks ago and it came the next day. So on that basis I would order again.

I am about to order stuff from them, but have never bought anything there before, so was wondering if it's any good. By the comments here, it seems a bit mixed. anyone else has anything to say about them?

The HP microserver should have unbuffered ECC ram, this one's non-ecc. I think i read somewhere that the non-ecc does work, but I wouldn't recommend it since the ECC does error checking to help prevent crashes. I got a 4GB crucial upgrade for mine the other day from CBC computer systems which was £43 delivered.

Non -ecc does work. Only problem is, if you mix and match non-ecc and ecc ram, they will both operate in non-ecc mode.

The HP Proliant Microserver works quite happily with a mix of non-ECC and ECC memory.

Mine has tested fine and been running without issues with the 1gig ECC it came with and the 4gig non-ECC I added.

I've ordered twice from Crescent and cannot fault them.
