Worth a try I'd say!

Sorry but why the HELL would you need to shred a CD or a DVD? Snap them in two and they are useless!

I have the old model about 3-4 years old now and it is still giong strong, apart from the CD shredder, a CD got jammed and the nylon coggs lost their teeth.

i tried snapping a DVD in half once and it didn't go quite that smoothly, it got a bit tense as i bent it furthur and furthur until it eventually broke, shatterd into a lot of pieces and cut my hand. If i had to destroy a lot of CD/DVDs i would be investing in 1 of these, my experience was purely down to curiosity though

The quality of that promo video is shocking though!!

Love the way credit cards are shredded leaving the magnetic strip and chip undamaged lol

Even better from this link at £19.99?
Don't know why it is showing at the lower price, just used my local branch at Coalville, Leicestershire.
Still a good deal at £22.99 though

I put cd/dvd's very briefly in my microwave, you get a lovely lightshow too oO:D

You'll be surprised what you can do with the right tools. Perpendicular damage, even snaps are easy, its oliptical damage that buggers discs. That being said, not like the Terrorists are interested in pictures of your dog or your Barry White collection. tbh I have so much debt, they're are welcome to my identity. :D

Shreds CDs and DVDs but no mention of Blu-Rays so it's cold from me. I need one that shreds 7 Blu-Rays at once held together with a bent coat hanger.

Seems like a good deal for a cross cut shredder, but if you watch the video on their site, it doesn't do much to cut credit cards, and as someone pointed out it could very likely miss the chip and sig strip (and/ or mag strip) if inserted in a particular way.

Still good, but not as great as I had first thought.

I have the old model that is only rated 5 sheets as apposed to this 7 sheet shredder. Anyway, on mine only CD's go through the CD shredder, credit cards go through the confetti shredder, i've shredded old cards and they come out as 4mm x 38mm chunks, so I am guessing this model is still cabable of doing it too, so just use the normal shredder for cards..

I can see what they are doing, they are just keeping plastic and paper separate, mine is all in one bucket.
