4 x Crosse & Blackwell Baked Beans in Tomato Sauce (410g) £1
4 x Crosse & Blackwell Spaghetti In Tomato Sauce (395g) £1

I think this is Iceland's regular deal, so this is really a heads up, all the same, 4 large tins of branded Baked Beans or Spaghetti for a £1 is a good price, and even cheaper than some of those budget ones.I normally buy the Branston Beans when on offer, but found these were also very tasty with a good sauce. Enjoy!

These beans are vile. They are not standard Crosse and Blackwell beans but an Iceland exclusive variation.

These most definitely fall into the 'you get what you pay for ' category!

Great price, bad beans!

I have to totally agree with the above comments.

I tried these, half the tin was sauce, and the beans were really not good. The sauce had absolutely no flavour. I am not snobby when it comes to food and hate waste, I really did have to force these down me, and even then I chucked some away.

Avoid, I have no problems with other beans I have tried, Heinz, Branstons, Sainsburys own brand, Tescos Own brand etc.

Well, despite thinking this was a good deal, worthy of posting, I have to confess that I think you're right, I have had these before from another retailer, bought as single cans, and they were fine, but having tried one of the cans from the Iceland pack last night, I can honestly say they were not the same at all, and were instead just like the value versions. The can was only 2/3rds full of beans, and the sauce was like water in consistency, and had almost no taste at all, awful.By contrast, the Crosse & Blackwell Spaghetti which was also a £1 for 4, was actually pretty good.

Too be honest, I find it bonkers, that they should make a different version for Iceland, as these would put you off buying any of their other products, although ironically, the company behind Crosse & Blackwell, Premier Foods who own these brands, also produce what I think are the best beans out there, the Branston ones, so I think I'm going to stick with them from now on, and although this was my deal, I'd suggest you do the same.

Oh yes, and I didn't get a single 'parp!'

branston are the tastiest, then heinz. these 2 are ridiculous prices though when not on offer. these are not as bad as some people make out! they are ok for the price. I don't mind them.
