Not to a lot of peoples tastes i know, but my father asked me to get this, Flea-Bay do it at over a tenner and most places are well into the teens for this. Have a listen on You Tube, one of the best comedians in the world can play a mean banjo !! He plays on Later with Jools tonight for the night owls, or is in the Pink Panther remake on fiver at nine, compare the two!
Still trying to work out the jazz classification!
Comedian, actor, author, and banjo player Steve Martin releases his first musical recording since 1978's number 1 hit "King Tut."
This is no novelty record though.
It's some of the best banjo music to come down the pike in a long time. The Crow features some of Steve's music friends, including Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, Earl Scruggs, John McEuen, Tim O'Brien and Mary Black. Martin wrote or co-wrote all of the songs on this album, creating a new body of work that will stand alongside the classics for years to come.

Jazz?
You know?
For a moment there I thought this was about music.

The music genre is Bluegrass. Not jazz.. I've heard this album and it's OK except for the parts where he sings. His singing is like his comedy - mostly lame.
