is this a good deal?

If you have a older LCD TV or one with a angled back it will not fit I have a 47inch Toshiba Z series and because the back slopes it doesn't fit its not wide enough so im voting it cold as its not a universal mount.
#3
Does if you set the rear of the bracket back to front.

Just had one of these delivered today and it's a good piece of kit. Kinect seems quite steady in it. Better than paying 40 quid for an official one!

I agree with Polly69, I have a Panny 50" Plasma with a sloping back and the crown does not fit. Unless the back of your TV is flat I wouldn't bother with this....

I don't know, is it?

fits fine on my 4 year old 32" sony bravia, its not a tight fit which is lucky as all buttons are on top!

For those saying it wont fit your fat plasma/lcd, ignore the amazon reviews, you just turn the arm to face the opposite way to the instruction manual - it works just as well and it is crazy that it is not mentioned in the instruction booklet.

Though I imagine those with a sloped back of tv would have an issue, note so long as it is flat at the point the bottom of the base touches the tv - it should be ok (slopes above that wont affect it)

I bought it at this price a few weeks ago, and last week - so as a deal not that hot, but as a deal vs microsoft equivalent - its super hot!

Now it is £8.99

I have a Samsung curved back tv, all I did was switch the back mount round, attached some sticky tape and boom!!

Great price, Kinect sensor is much better above the TV!!

I've got this on my 32" Panasonic LCD (cant remember the model but its about a year or two old) and it doesnt fit well. It does prop up the kinect well enough that it makes a big difference to how far back you need to be but its a loose fit that make me a bit nervous. It should be ok but I prefer to take it down when not in use, partly because it looks bloody stupid up there. The problem is that taking the kinect out of the slot is a nightmare but is needed to store it properly. Not voting either way, just giving folk some advice.

I'm interested how it affects where you have to stand to play the games - do you have to get closer or further away? My daughter is 4, and when she tries to play after I'm playing it makes her character run on their knees in Kinect Sports! Our sensor is on the glass TV stand and quite low down.

Thanks in advance if you get a chance to respond!

the £7.69 option is still there but the estimated dispatch time is 1-3 months

This is a big old lump of plastic it makes my kinect look massive on top of the tv, but at least it stops it from falling off and means I have more useable kinect space.

It definitely gave me more playing space. Kinect Sports does the "good" and "best" test and before I got the sensor it I was always only "good" but now I dont have to stand all the way back to get "best." The fact that its up high makes a difference as I was always concerned that it was only ever going to get the top half of my legs when it was below the TV. It does make a real difference but it also looks really daft and only fits my tv loosely.

ordered one hopefully will fit ok

I have this and it works but it looks pretty ugle on top of my Samsung TV. Its bigger than you might think and quite cheap looking matt plastic against the gloss kinect and TV.

Don't get me wrong the price is fine for what it is but I only use it when I want to play 2 players as I think it looks too tacky to be a permanent fixture in my living room.

Thanks kingjobbie, I appreciate your time :-)

I ordered the one that said 1-3 months dispatch(As I didn't check the length of time) and it was dispatched this morning.
