About Matt White
Matt has been heralded as one of Rolling Stone Magazine's 10 Artists to Watch, praising "Best Days" as a "hard to resist romantic debut." Details Magazine included Best Days in their recent "best new music bubbling from the underground" section and raved Matt has "a falsetto smooth enough to melt the icy heart of a Brooklyn hipster."

Perez Hilton calls him the 'Next Big Thing', AOL has awarded him the coveted "AOL Breaker", winning the title in a landslide. Produced by legends behind Bruce Springsteen, John Mayer, Christina Aguilera and Mary J. Blige, "Best Days" represents the arrival of Matt White, one of today's most intriguing and gifted new artists.

My Bio

my mom said the only time i was quiet was the nine months she was pregnant with me and even then she knew i would be a little rambunctious (i guess, because i was so excited to come out). i was born in englewood, new jersey, but spent my entire childhood across the river running through the streets of new york city. when i was growing up at home, i remember sleeping until noon every day and my mom yelling at me “that only musicians sleep all day”. so, since i loved to sleep, i decided then and there that i would be a musician.

i learned how to play the piano when i was a child, but was forced to learn to play the guitar when i went away to college at the university of wisconsin, because i couldn't fit a piano into my dorm room. i've since then traveled around this great country playing shows for anyone who would listen. i have found playing live for people to be my true love in life. there is something explosive that happens on stage that can't be put on an album.

speaking of albums, the songs on my first album, which is called 'best days', are about my life and more specifically my experiences with love. they are nostalgic clips and memories of things that i, my friends and my family have experienced over the years. the songs are also about discovery. i have found that adults expect us to know what we want to do with our lives, like we have everything planned out and should stay on this straight line, but i find that living in the moment and following your heart is the only path to follow.

Remember, you can add other coloured emulsion to this to make your own colours. (Tester pots, perhaps)

Believe this or not, I have even used CAKE DYE to colour mine in the past and it stayed that colour. Dye is Dye.

Just dont mix GLOSS with emulsion.

Yes, bought this about 4 months ago for my hall which is quite large and we still have some left. Good paint. They had loads near the doors when we bought it.

Not quite. Expect lots of fading over time if you use food dye.

I expected that too but I sold the property on two years later and it was fine.

Bit of a bogger gluing the icing on tho.

I need to paint every room before applying a top coat so this will be perfect for the job!

I think so, it's been this price for a few weeks in my local store.
Only Matt though, not silk.

Rubbish paint, you get what you pay for..
#25
From previous experience I agree that this paint is rubbish. Needed 4 coats of the magnolia to cover a light terracota. I would definately recommend people buy Dulux if they can afford it. Buy cheap buy twice is my moto. Good offer on the white at the minute, 10l for £15.

Just realised it was for the B&Q own brand.

You can get a big 10l of Glidden branded (made by ICI - who make Dulux), which is trade quality paint for £14.

This is cheap, but very very poor quality. Glidden is very good quality, almost as good as Dulux Trade (which is a lot better than dulux retail, which people on here seem to be recommending)

Also worth noting these big tubs don't have vinyl in them, which means you cant wipe the wall with water. Fine for ceilings and undercoats, but not for final coats.

5l for EVERY Dulux standard emulsion for £16.48 in my local B&Q!

Since when has CROWN been B&Q's own brand.... NEVER! Crown paint is perfect although personally I use Crown Trade Covermatt or Dulux Matt BUT the price is more expensive so it is NOT like for lik.

This paint is crap.

Crown are branding *****s when it comes to their products. They make paint under the Albany brand, which is actually very good quality.
#32
Surprised at people thinking this paint was rubbish. I used it on my hall, it had just been plastered and it only needed two coats. I found the paint to be quite good quality especially for the price, for £10 you can't go wrong. If it's crap you haven't wasted a lot of money.
#33
got 5 litres of magnolia from b&q today was going to get b&q's own brand at £18, they had dulux for £22 so got that instead, when scanned at the till it came up as £16.50 so well chuffed.
