Memory is getting so cheap now. Rude not to have 8GB in any PC capable of DDR3.

£50.48 x2 sets free 3 days delivery. With window8, 16gb is the best choice and soon games will start to take partially advantage of it (some games are already). I found out that at a certain point I was using over 9gb phisical memory on Crysis 2 also taking in account that I was using crossfire rated at 1gb x video card and therefore was compensating and using another 2gb extra ram memory compared to the lower ram usage when the 2gb video cards are in use instead.

Very tempted at this price, already have 8GB but as 4 x 2GB setup, tempted to get two sets of these and get 16gb total RAM.

    Great price.

And if people think having 8GB+ is too much, they might want to learn about RAMDisk.
Install RAMDisk, create a 2-4GB disk depending on how much RAM you can afford to lose, then move your pagefile to it.
    - Those with their pagefile on slow old HDD will see a performance boost.
    - Those with their pagefile on their SSD will increase the life of their drive by reducing the write cycles without losing any performance (might even see a little gain).

There must be a similar app for Mac's, but I don't care enough about you to go look for one :p.

I have 24GB RAM, so no need for this deal, muahahahahaaaaa!

then move your pagefile to it.

Unless I'm missing something this is only going to be of relevance if you're using a 32 bit OS. Otherwise you'll be much better off having the memory 'in process' rather than needing a pagefile.

RAM disks are a total waste of time to all but a very small minority. SSDs are a much more sensible way to go and leave your RAM allocation to your OS.

Creating a ram disk for your page file is the WORST advice i've read in a LONG time lol.

    Seriously, think about it haha.

That tells me you need to do a lot more reading; there's infinitely worse advice given on these hallowed pages every single day. Seriously, think about it.

Top notch offer though, reckon this will be on the weekly mail shot ;)

Thanks OP, +heat! I was looking around for RAM and was originally going to go for Corsair; is there any noticeable differences between the two? Hope I made the right choice!

Sweet. Just picked up a pair and for some reason I got free p&p when paying through paypal, so the order only came to £25.24. Awesome price.

That's correct. If you have 64 bit OS no needs for RAMDISK. Ramdisk is beneficial for 32 bit OS. (Tom's Hardware benchmarks
