Wow memory prices really are falling back down to sensible levels again! Definately a hot deal!
#2
Thanks OP. You just saved me over £60 for multiple memory upgrades
#4
only CL 9 so not going to be the fastest memory around but for the price this deal is hot! get it whilst you can

Looking at some DDR3 stuff yesterday for a planned build and 2x2gb was £80 on ebuyer, why is this so much cheaper? Or am i missing something?
#6
I can only have 4gb max using my motherboard. I think that there needs to be a major change or revolution in computing for me to get something new. When are those bios-less computers coming? X)
#7
This is dirt cheap, i paid £80 for a £4GB kit of this in Feb, it is very good all round and was voted best value then.

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/ddr3-4gb-p55,2462.html

Also overclocks to 1990 @ 1.65v 9-9-9-28, also it is better quite alot of the time that there is no heatspreader :) Hot

What's the, noticeable, difference between two of these and Kingston 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1066MHz i5 Memory Kit 1.5V CL7 @ £80 odd

Just bought 2 sticks, seems to be £65 for the same thing (2x) on e-buyer.

Although it says "awaiting stock" and "preorder" in order status, so don't think it will come

any mac compatible DDR 3 ram going cheap?

Just seen this: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/crucial-ct25664ba1339-2gb-pc3-10600/801555;)

As long as the spec is right for your mac, any brand should be fine. The RAM Apple puts into macs is often Micron branded, which is what Crucial rebrand. If that makes sense. Look at Apple System Profiler to confirm the spec. However, it's likely if you have any mac notebook or an imac or mac mini that you will need sodimm RAM. Agharta's link is what you need.

Yea this will work fine, there is no difference hardly between the 2, with the kingston you could make it 1333MHz 1.5V CL9 which is the exact same as this stuff. and visa versa

All memory is mac compatible... Macs are not some magic machine any more all standard stuff. If the memory is the correct speed (about this mac) and profile it will work.

Thanks for those timings. I've been wondering what I should have this set to. My chips of these are currently underclocked, but I'm not sure if it's due to the ratio settings on the motherboard (CPU - i5 750, is running at 4.1Ghz). I paid £95 for each pair of these about a year ago..

Guys, I have a dell 435 xps with 6 memory slots. 4 slots are currently filled with 1gb sticks giving me 4gb Ram at the moment. Although I don't particularly need the Ram could I put 2 of these sticks in and utilise the full 8gb with win 7 ultimate 64bit ?

I know that the processor I have works best with a triple ram configuration, just wonder if this would work in that way with my existing, or whether I would be better just getting 2 1gb sticks ?

Thanks in advance

Ali

According to crucial CT25664BA1339 is pc memory? I wonder if the listing is wrong because it appears CT25664BC1339 is laptop memory

you will be waiting literally forever. its a typical play.com trick to say "awaiting stock" for months, when they clearly arent getting stock in!

Just checked my order status and it is listed as "Packing".

Mine still says pre-ordered, there's hope yet though.

I have all of the other components for a build coming on Wed, so if it's despatched this week I'll be happy, but I'm so impatient :)

I've seen Play trickle items out like this in the past. They get small batches at a time from their supplier and send them out rather than all at once.
#33
Mine has gone to packing now, items are now in stock on web site.
#34
Mine has now gone to packing too, yay!
