Since the lower voltage modules are the same price, does it make them better but still compatible if the current ones in my laptop are 1.5v ?

I might be wrong but I've read that the lower voltage version produces less heat and increase battery life.
To find out if it's compatible with your laptop, run the Crucial scanner.

Yes (see link below) but cheaper to buy from Crucial if you use TCB. Also, they have the 1.35v version for the same price as the 1.5V version @ Crucial.
