Just seen in the metro that tesco will be selling Crysis 2 on xbox 360 for £28 from midnight tonight. No mention of PS3.
Edit - did not read the small print of having to buy MS Points to get it for this price

2100 points is £16.99

wonder what the Asda price will be then?

Wow thats a good first day price. Where was this when COD was released stupid get the game a bit cheaper if you buy Microsoft points. I thought I was really clever getting it for £25 from EA store with vouchers might as well not bothered now and picked this up. Nice find.

will have to monitor this didn't expect launch deals on this .....got it preordered in GAME ...sod that if it's £10 cheaper elsewhere
#4
Nooooo! More money spent thanks to HUKD...!
#5
You need to purchase 800 points or 12 month xbox live for that price
#6
Good price are you sure this is just £28 on its own and not when bought with something else?

Yup read that in the Metro, To qualify for that price you must purchase 800 points or 12 month xbox live. I think the OP should amend the description as it is very mis-leading otherwise.

Don't they charge £9.99 for 800 points on these launch days?

It's buy 2100 Points (£17.50) or 3 Months Xbox Live (£14.99) to get Crysis 2 for £28.

I believe the PS3 version of the offer is to buy a £20 PSN card.

You can check this in the e-Metro here http://e-edition.metro.co.uk/

Glad I got on the pre-order with the EA site a while back - My copy was £25 something.
#13
Here's hoping Sainburys can do better than this. I've got £15 in Nectar points.

Thanks sigma :) - I was about to upload the ad but every image hosting site is blocked for me :(

Will hold out for the ps3 deals

2 for £28 is an absolute bargain, keep one and sell the other on ebay, even if you get what you paid for it. I have never seen a big name release for £14 each. Hot hot hot.

He's also forgetting about the cost of the Microsoft Points. xD

i'm going to trade in the pile of garbage that is Homefront. Game are doing Crysis 2 for £4.99 when trading Homefront so will probably go for that unless Asda have a good price then will trade in at Asda.
#24
Anyone know if HMV are doing a trade in offer? Quite keen to shift Dead Space 2 (completed it)... best trade in?

Xbox 360 only.

Just popped down to Sainsbury at lunch time - £37.99 there (most of their game prices arent in touch with reality at the moment) so will pop into Tesco on way home to take advantage of this offer.
My son always wants to buy some add on pack or other anyway so not a bad deal with the MS points.

Well I just called in to Tesco on my way home and I have scored big time.
Big labels saying £28 when bought with etc etc but the crucial thing was that the small shelf labels clearly said 2 for £28 on the bottom. They didnt have the MS points I wanted so I picked up the 3 months live and the game. Sure enough game went through for £28 but 3 months live went through full price. Headed off to CS and the manager came with me to the game aisle. He had to agree that the offer clearly said 2 for £28 so left it with the lady on CS to sort it out for me. She was going to refund the live card but after a quick reminder about the double the difference policy I was given just under £26 back in cash so ended up with the game and live card for under £15 total.
Really pleased, but not half as chuffed as my son who I probably wont see now for the whole weekend.

The yellow labels say "Crysis 2 for £28" ....

You got lucky the guy didn't know the game is called Crysis 2.

The spacing on the label clearly made it read 2 for £28 rather than crysis 2 for £28 and the same labelling on the live card made it obvious - they have since used a black marker on the 2 for £28 portion of the associated SELs! Anyway, Im happy.
