Hot for the price, I thought getting it for £14.99 from game the other day was good. Really though, I'd hardly call this a special edition, it's just some DLC for weapon skins which could be downloaded, and a temporary xp boost. Regardless, good price for an excellent game.

This is probably the one good offer from their 1 day sale which seems to have the same rubbish on the same page at the normal price. Well done Play.

So do I. It seems I never get round to playing games that aren't on my Steam account.
I have finished the single player campaign though.

For anyone that bought Brink last week, HMV are doing an awesome Trade-In price also! £35!

Hot,

Bought the other day from the Game deal and think it was worth the money then (£15).

Single player is really good and shows off the gfx really well. Multiplayer I thought was pants.

Is it me though, or did the original have more 'suit modes'. This one only seems to have armour and cloak, with the helmet one too for tactical guidance.

I think so, in the original you get 5 (correct me if I'm wrong) and in 2 you get 3, I think.

I think they tried a bit to hard on the multiplayer

It's not a special edition, it's a "Limited Edition" which means there was only a limited run of the ones that included all the XP and DLC bonuses. Most of the time, you can only get the regular edition without these bonuses in the shops now.

I was a huge Crysis / Warhead fan and it still looks fantastic on my gaming rig today. True enough that Crysis isn't the technical quantum leap that it should have been (see Battlefield3 for how to do that), it's still a fantastic romp and is a thing of beauty at high resolution with att the settings cranked up.

It may sound weird, but I was a little disappointed that my system was able to run it so well on the day of release - I expected that I'd need to lower a few settings for the first few years until my hardware caught up. As it stands, it doesn't put that much more of a strain on the hardware requirements than the original engine.

Oh yes, onto the point of my post.... If you fancy a bit of FPS action and haven't already bought Crysis2, it's a no-brainer at this price. I'm gutted that I bought the limited edition for £24 a week earlier from Gameplay, but that's how it goes. :(

Understatement of the century; what a wait (_;)

Nice to see a PC game at the top of the daily "heatchart" on hotdeals too!

Looks like price is now £17.99 ...

Not that keen on Play anyway, last couple of things I ordered took a couple of weeks to arrive.

For what it's worth, When I bought mine last week, my cousin went to order it from game, but it was out of stock. He picked it up from gameplay instore for £15, if anyone is interested? Not sure if its a deal and still at that price though. I was well happy at that price. Good luck peeps.

I hope more PC games come this low as soon after release, looks like it may be a dying format (hope not).
