Amazing graphics and great game... just a shame it needs a super computer to show off how great it looks.

It will still run on most computers though I think, just won't look as WOW on some compared to others

I heard there was an update available that made it run smoother on lower spec machines. Haven't tried it yet though.

Does it still require a super computer considering it was released a few years ago?

Would it run good on an average computer bought today?

i.e a Sony Vaio

i3 processor
4GB ram
ATI 5650 1GB Graphics Card

Surely my 1 month old vaio would run this game well?

Any thoughts?

Should be able to run it on med/maybe high settings at a reasonable frame rate.

If anyone is after Crysis Maximum Edition, the cheapest is at coolshop.co.uk (£15.99)

Below is a link to a system analyser which will tell you if your PC is up to the job. Mine ain't.

Bargain I finaly have a pc that can run it, its an I7 with 4gb of ram and a 9800 GT, that tester says it will fly but it will probably still only run on medium setting with no AA knowing crisis !

Seems weird a 2007 game is still the benchmarking standard. Were there graphics cards capable back then for playing Crysis maxed out? And what will be the next benchmarking standard?
#12
God knows it needs stupid spec I bet it still doesnt run at anything like a decent setting on my rig.

You basically need a £300 graphics card and a top end pc to get it running at anywhere near max settings.

Excellent game and amazing graphics; it's the best looking game I've ever played!

I play Crysis on my system at 1920 x 1080 with most settings set to "Very High" with no AA and I average about 25 FPS. I could get just over 30 FPS on average if I set some settings to "High", but I love all the volumetric lighting effects too much. :P

System:
- Intel E5300 @ 2.6 GHz
- 2 GB DDR2 RAM
- MSI 5770 Hawk

Great game, and at this price it's a steal.

I think it's the physics on it plus the fact that EA didn't really go out of their way to optimize it for minimal spec.

Mine was delviered today installing now !

May need to get this, my PC should be able to run it reasonably well
