Good deal, but - it's the game that is badly optimised, rather than everyone having a poor spec PC :) If I recall, even SLI GTX295 will be put under a lot of pressure with Crysis.

Heat + rep.

I have an 8800GTX Ultra. It runs fine on High settings and looks stunning. But to be honest even when you run it on Medium settings it still looks better than most games.
I just didn't think much of the game itself. I got bored of it very quickly.

It's been between £7 and £8 at a lot of places in the last few weeks.
(I got it for £7.16 a couple of weeks back, when it was posted on here.)

Not voted hot or cold, as it's often a shade cheaper than this, but those places look to be out of stock at the moment.
Rep added, though.

Incidentally, my computer's no gaming rig, by any stretch of the imagination (picked it up cheap, and I know next to nothing about computers) but plays the game fine on medium settings - so don't be put off trying it because you're worried your pc can't handle it.
This site seems helpful in giving you an idea of whether your pc can handle a game.

Beautiful game. Not the most enthralling, though.

I thought it was a brilliant game. The first time i played it on Hard and had to take my time and be careful. Its only when i put it on medium and went through the game again all guns blazing, with zero tactics that i really enjoyed it. Give it a go.

Never played this, one, but is it as good as Far Cry?

BTW, HMV are doing Half Life 2 episode 1 for £3! Can't be bothered to start a thread tho ;)

It says £14.99

Yep, now back up to £14.99

All these sales are the same, as soon as items start selling they hike the price up again. This lot and CDwow seem to have the same idea.

I wouldn't mind if they didn't have stock, but they do and its just bad practice and use of forums for their links to get customers on their sites. :viking:

I have the game so haven't been really paying attention to the prices (I got it when it was a hot deal at 15 or so), but just checking the usual suspects I figured this was cheap enough.

I noticed that too - it's so out of date that they're still calling it Aftermath as well. :-D I can see why it's so cheap seeing as it's included in the Orange Box and that retails around 12 already, making 3 actually quite pricey!

It's sorta like Far Cry with special powers - I haven't gotten through enough to tell whether it's as good or not but I'm aware it follows the same blueprint (bullying soldiers first and then moving on to critters later).
