Crysis is a PC sci-fi first-person shooter from the award-winning developer Crytek, the developers of the critically acclaimed Far Cry (MC90).

Earth, 2019: A colossal asteroid crashes down to Earth.

The North Korean Government quickly seals off the island chain, claiming the mysteries of the asteroid for themselves. The United States responds by dispatching an elite team of Delta Force Operators to recon the situation and report back to the Pentagon. Amid rising tensions between the US and North Koreans, the asteroid suddenly bursts open, revealing a massive, 2km high alien ship. The ship generates an immense force sphere, freezing a vast portion of the island and drastically altering the global weather system. The invasion of Earth has begun.

The two rival nations unite to stop the aliens and save mankind. The newly formed alliance fights epic battles against the marauding Aliens. With hope rapidly fading, the player must lead a crack squad through lush tropical jungle, harsh frozen landscapes, and finally into the heart of the alien ship itself for the ultimate Zero G encounter with the aliens.

Crysis offers players a highly immersive FPS experience in which they will have to adapt their tactics, weaponry, armour and gameplay style to survive and defeat the alien invasion.

Crysis uses the leading-edge technology of Crytek's proprietary engine CryENGINE.

Really good price. I've spent entire evenings tweaking this game but in many ways that's more addictive than playing the game :)

Worth buying just to join the modding community.

Great deal, thanks. Just about to start looking for this myself and low and behold, a HUKD! Nice one

Good Find! I've been looking for this for a while. I even checked eBay and most copies of this being sold second hand are going for this price or more. Heat added.

# Processor: Intel® Core™2 Duo T7200 (2.0GHz)
# RAM: 2048M DDR2 667
# Graphics: NVIDIA GeForceGo 7700 GPU 512 MB

Native res on my laptop is 1680x1050 so I wouldn't expect to run it at that, but reckon I could get close to that with these specs?

Completed this game last night. It's pretty good, in fact the first part of the game is excellent, until you get to the aliens.

Performance wise it ran really well on my 8800GT, struggled quiet a bit on some of the very large maps.

£15 is a bargain if you have a computer to run it. Ended up costing me a whole lot more when i upgraded in order to play it.

Tweaking (I recommend reading both, initially quite daunting though!):
http://www.incrysis.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=11614
or
http://www.tweakguides.com/Crysis_1.html

My laptop spec is:
Intel Core Duo Processor T2300E (1.66 GHz, 2 MB L2 cache, 667 MHz FSB)
Windows XP Home
2048MB 533MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x1024 - Crucial]
80GB (5400RPM) SATA Hard Drive set in bios to fastest
ATI X1600 Mobility with 256MB DDR2 dedicated graphic memory
15.4" Widescreen (1280x800)

The auto config option in the game is useless. I got the game looking gorgeous even with my relatively lowly spec!

yep i've played it on XP 64bit and Vista Home Premium 64 bit. Works fine.
#15

Mines on back order....
#20
Mines been delayed and they won't tell me anything about why or how long it will take.
#21
I ordered mine on 15/02/08...

I've had 4 order updates (22/02, 27/02, 05/03 and 12/03) - still on order with our suppliers, etc..

Today (19/03) I got an email from them - they have cancelled the order - BAD SHOW!!!!!!! :x
#22
Exactly the same here, got the email today. It looks like they've conveniently stopped selling "Crysis" - that will be permanent i'm sure..

It was nice of them to work the email as if I'd cancelled the order myself too.
#23
Mine cancelled today as well - i'd rather the were honest and just said they had too many orders at the offer price or that it was a mistake. Poor show.

I didnt like how they worded the email either - just generic BS.
#24
Mine got canceled from a order that was over a month ago. I'll be complaining today. I can't believe that they can't get any stock from their suppliers, it's a new game thats in stock nearly everywhere else.
#25
I complained yesterday - here's the reply....

"This product will be removed from our website in due course." - Really ????

"Please be assured that we have contacted alternative suppliers and regrettably we are unable to source your item."

That line surprises me the most. Nearly everywhere I Iook has stock. I haven't got a clue what they are trying to achieve by doing this but they aren't being honest at all.

Look on the bright side,

You can still buy the strategy guide :-D
