Wish it was in UK. I hate waiting ages for things to come from abroad and paying customs charges. 4gb memory option is really very good.

For shipping they have a quick and slower (non courier?) option, the latter presumably being less likely to get picked up for duties.

Decent specs for a Windows tablet - this should be able to do a bit more than just run an office suite and a browser. Just a shame about the company selling it, I heard very mixed reports about them.

Great tablet, owned this for about 4 months now. The only issue is the crap speakers, THEY ARE BAD!!! Mostly use Windows on it, rarely android.

Great price, heat.

Do these tablets have locked boot loaders similar to phones (and other android tablets), or can they be installed with other stuff as easy as you'd do with laptops/desktops?

True, but then again it's not a phone...

the CPU is a bit anaemic. shame the core-m models of these things cost so much more :-(

This one has a non-laminated screen which means that the digitizer (glass) can stick to the lcd panel and create some water-underneath effect. The same happened to my chuwi 8.

Interesting enough, BOTH BangGood and Gear Best sell these Chuwi Hi10 Dual-Boot + Chuwi Hi10 Single-Boot Tablets too!, hehehe. :-)

I've ordered several times from Banggood and have never paid import duty or taxes. It's usually stuff like drones or drone components. One time they even replaced a drone that arrived faulty without me having to send back the broken one, which I think was decent of them.

Another time I ended up buying a fake battery charger, reported it to them and they pointed out that the listing said (in very small print) that the device was a "replica" :-) Conclusion - caveat emptor!

One thing I would caution people on is that Gearbest (for example) ships Windows 10 devices such as TV boxes with non-activated Windows 10 (I don't know if all of them are like that, but mine was). Since the manufacturer never provides drivers then the only sure way to proceed is activate from the Windows store, and that will cost you more than the device itself.

If you are the adventurous type you can use Double Driver to back up the drivers on the device, then install a much cheaper, but still "legitimate" copy of Windows 10 on the device, and then restore the drivers.

It worked for me, but I'm moderately tech-savvy.

Bottom line - make sure you buy from a reputable seller with a guarantee that Windows is activated. I would definitely avoid Gearbest, because I know they have non-activated versions of Windows.

I can't speak for Banggood, but make sure you check.
