I love my cube. Great value for money. Mine has taken me around the pyrenees faultlessly!
#2
It seems to partially satisfy recent bike thread comments that there are too many white bikes on here and not enough red ones - this is a bit of both.

looks like a great bike, almost got one last January but changed my mind at the last minute.

Great spec for the money, 105 and Aksiums at this price is pretty much unheard of.
#10
That colour scheme though!
Hope they don't ship with Yodel.
#11
I'm not sure how I feel about riding a bike when it's brand could be mistaken for 'lube'

oO
#12
That is one well spec'd bike for that price!
#13
Got this few weeks ago for the same price and offer. Done 220 miles to date. excellent bike. Had to make minor adjustments to the pre-assembled bike.

Good price for an alloy bike with full 105 and decent Mavic rims. This would be a good choice for a beginner or indeed a winter bike for people who want to preserve their carbon frames.
#16
My summer bike ! two year old model but near identical spec, beautiful quality, surprisingly plush ride and all day geometry, red/white/blue colour scheme is not done justice by photos, only weak point is the saddle and white bar tape imo, this an outstanding deal.

The planet x rt-58 apex for £400 is hard to beat.

Even that Chainset and Brakes are 105, add in the rest of the group set and very decent wheels you have a perfect bike. Not even a "first time bike" or "winter bike" it is a very competent and raceable spec. Super deal.

Yeah, but the Planet X is £500 not £400, surprised being the OP on the other bike you'd get this wrong? What's others view between the two? - I'm swaying towards the Cube

I stand corrected, sorry Rev.

Worth noting that this is the old 5700 10 stopped 105 groupset.

The new version of 105 is the 5800 which is 11 speed, so for parts replacements in future, you'll probably be looking for Tiagra 10 speed.

Hot price for what you're getting though!

they'll continue producing 5700 for a while yet

Even if they do, Tiagra will get trickled down 5700 next year or so.

Radially spoked wheels on the front, and otherwise low spoke count on front and back. Better be a lightweight and/or not plan on hitting any potholes.

Carbon frames suffer salt corrosion?

The one that you recommended Rev at £499. Looks nice.

was looking at this and the felt f 75 on merlin both seem good for price but i picked up the plaanetx tiagra at 400 though when it came up as it was a steal.
#33

Very good deal

but with Merlin delivery charges aren't the two much the same. both look like great bikes but am veering towards the Cube...can't knock Merlin though. Great company.
#38
bit the bullet and ordered one. If anyone else is thinking of buying if you register an account with Chain Reaction they send you a welcome code giving £5 off in addition to the GIFT 10 code. I found them very helpful with queries over frame size by phone and email.

Thanks for the recommendation for this deal goodenough. My long quest for a road bike comes to an end!
