I bought the Ronseal One Coat fence paint and it is very runny and leaves the fence looking streaky and needing another coat, so going to try this stuff. I have had cuprinol in the past and normally gives a good coverage and finish

I was going to write an almost identical comment :) My last years attempt with One Coat was a disaster. The ducksback by Cuprinol is really good but pricey. Hopefully this one is decent.

Horrible colours though sadly.

I painted my fence with it earlier this year. It is runny you have to lather it on, I was painting over a dark brown and therefore I had already accepted, it would be 2 coats.

If you are painting over a similar colour you may be okay

Just started painting the fence at our new house with this last night. It's an old fence and doesn't look like it has ever been painted. Found the coverage really good, one coat looks fine. Used the Autumn Red, was a bit worried about how orange it looked but it's dried nice. Will be ordering more, though think it's a similar price in Wilko's too if you're buying a couple. Thanks OP.

B&Q have 10l of this for £7 if they have any left now

I was just in B&Q actually and they didn't have any of this at all. They were trying to sell of the big tins of Ronseal, I think they were 10L, can't remember the price, but as I mentioned above, I found these to be poor quality

Got the rustic brown when offer at B&Q to achieve a mid brown colour not too dark going over a darker oak colour and it's not bad at all - a little runny on the smoother wood panels but tougher rough sawn ones was fine

Will this work in a pressure sprayer?

Purchased Ducksback last year blooming £17 tin and washed off over the winter !

Aren't they all runny now due to various regulations ?.

Don't think so. I think you'd need this (lot more expensive @ £14)

Instore at Perth for £6 as well. Was going to post this last week.

Also check Original Factory Shop, they have been selling ducksback 5l for £10.

Was using this this morning and it's great (rustic brown for the record)

Bought Ducksback last year (10 tans to be precise) and never again. Paint was runny as, streaky and only way paint stays on is if you literally dip the wood in it rather than using a paintbrush and took several days to dry. Not sure what this variety is like.

Dulux Decorating Centres have got 25% off all Dulux paint & wood care until the end of June. They do ultimate wood stain, ultimate opaque & aquatech opaque for int & ext wood. I use it all the time & its the best product you can use on all your wood, lasts for years & years so extra cost is justified.
