TN panel so obviously not IPS quality, but freesync and 144hz can't be found cheaper for the size. Colours and panel can look a little washed out but reducing back light and contrast, whilst boosting colours, helps.

I have the 27 inch model of this and love it, just be warned the displayport cable that comes with it is very short.

The 144hz version? I doubt it! There's a 75hz model knocking around that retails at 140 ish that might have been what you saw. Regardless that's a year ago, anyway.

I suspected that he was talking rubbish, what's he even doing here if he's looking for a 4k monitor? :|

if you look at his posts and comments, you will see he as a walk to his local poundshop, tesco express, Bm, takes a blurry photo, posts a random item as a 'deal'
then slates anything he thinks he as any knowledge about.
he is known for it.

That red trim at the bottom makes the monitor look sexy.

I had been put off TN panels by tales of poor image quality, bought a TN recently to see for myself and when I weighed the negatives of TN, the slightly washed out colors and not so great blacks, with the negatives of current IPS gaming monitors, horrendously distracting, immersion breaking back light bleed, the TN panel came out as a clear winner in terms of image quality for me. I got tired of playing the IPS lottery and losing, so a TN will do me fine.

What good are inky blacks when they only cover an irregular 60% of the screen, and the parts that suffer from IPS glow look far worse than a TN anyway. There are probably some very good IPS units out there but I've been searching for months and I've not seen one yet.

I have got this monitor but with G sync and the monitor is great, lovely monitor and great colours etc

Acer, from personal view are quite good, touchscreen IPS with 60hz was enough for me with Lightning 770, l can imagine the Acer might be better than the AOC, IF in the same price range,

Absolutely, for gaming TN is still far superior. I have the G2460PG and if this monitor has the same screen it's good quality. If you don't need to be spot on with colours (professional photographer videographer etc) the only other argument I have heard is the wash out of TNs at certain angles, personally I sit infront of my monitor anyway and the only TNs I have seen that wash out these days are very cheap ones and you still have to be at a silly angle.

I have the gsync version and its worth noting that you will want to change the setting a lot when you get it.

Mine came really bright with loads of sharpness and little contrast, with that said after 20 minutes of playing with the settings it now looks 5x better then the stock settings.
