If you have a slower speed adapter on the network then the speed will reduce to the lowest one.

OK, here's a little conundrum for you:

The four members of U2 are on one side of a weak bridge. It is dark and they all need to cross to the other side. They only have one torch between them and the bridge will only support a maximum of 2 members of the band crossing at any one time. The four members all take differing amounts of time to cross the bridge, and none will cross in the dark (ie without having the torch with them):

Bono: 1 minute
The Edge: 2 minutes
Adam Clayton: 5 minutes
Larry Mullen Jr: 10 minutes

What is the shortest amount of time for all four members to cross to the other side?

(Sorry if using U2 sounds a bit dated, but this is how this conundrum was first told to me.)

Wow, nobody able to work it out?

OK, the "obvious" solution is where Bono basically acts as the torchbearer:

- Bono + The Edge cross: 2 minutes
- Bono returns: 1 minute
- Bono and Adam Clayton cross: 5 minutes
- Bono returns: 1 minute
- Bono and Larry Mullen Jr cross: 10 minutes

Total time: 2+1+5+1+10 = 19 minutes

But as I said, it can be done quicker...
