Well, it'd be easy to be sniffy and say this is a load of rubbish...but, it's probably going to be better than the sound from your telly and at under £40 for the whole kit plus a couple of DVDs it's definately a HOT deal!!!

...I'm on to Bluray now otherwise I might have been tempted for maybe a bedroom setup.
#3
Shame it doesnt have optical. I would be on it like flies on poo poo

[QUOTE=garbage456]bargain price, but just imagine all them wires.

now which one is the subwoofer.

No more than with any other surround system ??

Added Heat as although yes it's not going to set the wolrd alight sonically it would be good for a older kids bedroom or something. Just a shame it has no optical in for consoles etc..

what a wireless one?

They sound Garbage. And they still need wires as the wireless rear speakers need power.....

not as many wires though !!!

No just the same amount of wires. Only different types.

A Wired 5.1 setup needs just a speaker wire to the rear speakers. no power needed
A wireless 5.1 setup needs a power cable to each wireless speaker. Power needed for wireless receiver but no speaker wire needed.

This one has no external inputs so no good for either the PS3 or 360

Great Product for the price!!
If you're looking for a cheap 5:1 surround sound system this is unbelievable quality. It was a bit of a fiddle to start up, that's why I'm only giving it 4, but the sound quality whilst linked to my ps3 and xbox 360 is outstanding! A must buy, highly recommended by yours truly :) !

i'm assuming that where it lists in the specs that this has "coaxil audio outputs" and "stereo audio outputs" that they should really say inputs? after all why would a surround system need coaxal and audio OUTPUTS??

but an amzon reveiew says:
"please be aware that this is JUST a DVD player with 5 speakers! ok, so it may provide surround sound but you cant connect to other systems (ie SKY + etc) so its pretty useless as most of us have these nowadys."

I would think it would be more likely for it to have inputs than outputs...
an image of the connections can be found here but no indication of whether they are in or out..
