Normally I wouldn't touch one of these third party players but this seems very good.
Curtis MPK8854 MP3 Player
Touch screen is 2.8".
Plays FLV & AVI.
Takes MicroSD, appears that it'll take 4GB and higher cards.
Has a nice loud speaker
For more infor have a look at the manual here:

Seems like a nice alternative for someone who doesn't want to shell out loads of notes for an ipod touch.

Just bought one of these and the instructions are inadequate. It does not tell you how to set it up on your PC or how to download music from your PC onto it. I tried ringing the customer support line for info and was advised to call back at 10am Californian time!!! which would be about 2am our time. Will try emailing them and see what response I get.

surely you put the files on the mem card?

im thinking of buying this product but is the mp3 player as much of an ipod touch as it is made out to be, example: They boast that it has a 2.8 inch screen but no-wear on the page does it tell you if it plays movies. And does the mp3 player have a good touch screen as made out by the company?

I bought one.
put files on like additional drive. has 4gb built in. plays avi files converted using software on cd. mp3 files. will also show text. you can add micro sd cards in it's slot.
Seemed fantastic until headphone socket broke after just 4 days.
