I have just signed up for a cable landline phone with VM as it was almost free (+44p/month for landline). But phone calls via the VM landline are very expensive. First Telecom provides you with an automatic dailler that sits between your phone and the phone socket. The calls go through first telecom who are significantly cheaper.

The advantages are: you get an automatic dialler so no 0800 numbers to rememeber to dial before.

If anyone know of another telco that gives an automatic dialler and cheaper calls, please let us know.

Also if anyone is using first telecom at the minute, please post your views on the company.

I'm paying £14.60 for 10Mb L BB + M (weekend free calls) phone package + new D-Link wireless router. This price includes line rental. Just need to make sure I don't get shafted on the calls.

don't know why the link does not work, maybe HUKD want some money from them or something and the referral isn't working for them.

The direct link is : http://www.firsttelecom.com/other-products/cable-saver

(includes 0845 etc)

Does it really include 0845 numbers and presumably by the etc you also include 0870 numbers?

I am not aware that Virgin media has started including these numbers in there call plan.

I'd like to know how exactly you managed that.

ALSO - Does this First Telecom deal mean that you will end up paying them for weekend calls that are free in the first place from virgin, unless maybe that you unplug the dialler at weekends?

Crikey you've done well there, how long have they given you it at that price for?

12 month contract on bb and 18months on phone. they will probably shaft me back after the 12 months bb offer is finished and that element of the package will shoot up.
#13
No doubt but enjoy it while it lasts, soak it up 8)

can someone explain the cold votes, this deal saves you money compared to VM charges
