Amazon supplied electric bike. Good reviews. Bit heavy but the electric motor should make up for that. Was looking at getting this for my mum in January but the deal expired at £191.
11 left in stock at times of posting. Reviews seem to show that older riders love them, but apparently it takes some putting together.

I have used these types of bikes and they do make cycling very easy...if this is half decent then this is a bargain.

Doesn't the electric motor take away from the whole point of a Bicycle? You could buy a Road Bicycle, go faster than this and get some exercise! This only does 15mph in the UK lol... I do that at idle on a road bicycle.

**** waste of money piece of ****.

Well, some people might want a easy way to commute or go around, but don't have a car or can't afford one.

That seems to be quite a running theme in most of his posts.

This may sound stupid but why is this one so cheap all the others are up into the £300 mark

There's quite a few positive reviews there. Might check one of these out for the wife.

It makes uphill easier. these are great for older folk who's limbs probably aren't what they used to be.

Not everybody uses a bike to exercise. Its just a cheap form of transport to get from A to B. Plus having a motor is great for hills and you can cycle the flat parts. This is hot price. I tried an electric bike on seafront once theyre good fun overtaking sweaty cyclists on cycle lane.

seems nobody can get them delivered theres lots of people complaining they get same message about cant be delivered. very fishy.

Because everyone must have exactly the same 1337 requirements as yourself or they are useless. The OP even mentioned that he'd been considering it for his Mum. Oaf.

This should be deleted as its impossible to order it. Reading comments nobody could order it in january when it was on offer either. Same delivery BS everytime.

Can't be delivered!

Can't be delivered? Lucky escape. All well and good suggesting these for OAPs but what are they going to do when they get a puncture or other mechanical? It'll weigh 50+ lbs so flipping it over for repair or pushing it home will be a mission.

Not just oaps but how about those recovering from a major illness (eg heart attack/cancer), those with disabilities where what we take for granted would be the equivalent to us of keeping up Wiggins or even a person first step from that couch - as to your objection never heard of gaterskins?

Forgot I posted this late doors yesterday. Shame no one seems to have been able to order, it was posted in good faith, and was never meant for Bradley Wiggins but for those mentioned above. Shame the lycra Nazis can't leave a deal alone which doesn't suit them. I wouldn't have one myself either but this is not "hotukonlystuffilikeandnothingelseisrelevant.com" and I thought it might suit some.

Am grateful to people like you for taking the trouble to post. How many deals are we all missing out on because people don't want to post just to get abuse.

why is this being posted again when everyone knows (including Amazon) that the offer does not exist.. I contacted Amazon about the last posting which came up with exactly what has been said above....I even contacted the suppliers who stated the fault was with Amazon

If it had been real it would have been scorching as now back at 599 with quoted 400 discount - the batteries cost more than it was listed at - great find and try though as would have ordered one for my mam, just shame on err on amazons part but ta for sharing.

Sorry, perhaps my point wasn't clear. I have no objection to the use of electric bikes per se, I just see cheap ones as a false economy as the immense weight and short range cancel out the benefits. I'm fully aware of Gatorskin tyres, and how, just like my colleagues examples, you can still get punctures.

Sorry - yes your point was clear and I just disagree
anything sub 1k is going to be effectively a cheap electric bike and actually quality ones you need to be looking at a bit more (i.e. the specialized at 3.5K is very nice) and would be out of the majority of peoples budgets.
This one has a guide price of just under that although never more than £599 and at the price advertised it was at was effectively the same cost of the battery.
Yes its heavy - but I would not be expecting more that 15 miles and for some that is more than ideal (i.e. oap in their motorhome wanting to nip to the corner shop without taking the 30ft behemoth).
As to punctures on gator skins, although my friends also use over winter, in my case they reduced punctures from 2 a month to zero over the last 6 months (winter time is worse as debris is hidden more). There are also the slime solutions was just throwing one example out there to negate your negative.
I could go one and waffle for ages - but as above my point was there are those out there that would really benefit from a cheap, albeit heavy solution, with limited range for their needs at a cheap price to match - this would not match my cycling needs albeit I know examples in each of the groups I mentioned above that also may not be able to lift/repair let alone even use a normal bike at all - then again they why would they have to as there are always solutions.
Just a shame it was not a real offer.

Well, that's the nub of it I guess, it wasn't a deal in reality and anything that is in this price range is pretty crappy.
