Why do people seem to say cyclists should all wear hi-is vests etc? If your eyesight is so bad you cannot see a cyclist with lights then please hand in your driving licence..

As a cyclist and a car driver I say that most are correct in saying cyclists should wear some bright colours, be they reds or yellows. A cyclist is hardly a large sized object, unless you are supper large framed, and given environments a cyclist dressed as an 'Urban Ninja' hardly stands out, especially in low light.

FWIW my eye sight is fine
No it's the original site that advertises it as a walking jacket. Cycling jackets never have hoods and will usually be longer at the back than the front. Decent kagoul for the money but was never going to appeal to the cycle Nazis on here who think anything under £100 for a pair of socks is too cheap!

yep my mistake i was looking at the types at the side and not in the description.

I dont understand some of these types i use a bike as it saves me a fortune, and its door to door transport

Would common sense not tell you that. Hi viz is there for a reason. A policeman ran in the road in front of me recently with a hi viz that was string and that was the first thing I saw slightly before his face. Surely seeing something sooner rather than later allows an earlier and therefore safer manoeuvre.
