seems a good price
anyone got the kit

Gave some heat but it looks cheaply made. I think I'd spend a bit more for some quality.

Thanks, ordered, will all be great for my new exercise bike!

Cheap helmets should give around about the same protection as a more expensive one. The big difference is in the weight and ventilation. There doesn't seem to be a way to choose the size of the helmet, so you need to have a standard-sized head. Its a good price if the helmet fits. If it doesn't then its not much good.

Track pumps are much easier to use to pump your tyres up hard, and that helps avoid punctures.

Looks like poor quality stuff but it is hard to tell from the photo. Must be worth £11 though.

The main argos site has it at £29.99 reduced from £49.99 see the link below

Seems like a good thread to ask what is a good lock for a bike and what is a good mini pump (always good to carry one on you).

Not sure about lock, but bought this pump from Evans recently and seemed like a good deal:

I was hoping for a smaller pump tbh.

I'd be careful about where I left a bike with that lock securing it...

I've also got one of these which I think are brilliant and fit nicely in your saddle bag:

Carry a couple of co2 canisters and your away

Cold from me:
-Lock can easily be cut with wire cutters in a second. D-locks are your best bet.
-Cheap bike lights eat through batteries and brackets snap in the cold or with slightest impact.
-Unless raincoats are breathable you will just sweat like a pig, its unlikely to be at this price.
-Helmet looks okay but would rather trust a cycling brand
-Pump looks okay but doesn't have gauge.
Overall this may be okay for recreational use but is NOT a commuter kit.

D-locks are your best bet

A can of pipe freeze and a hammer will quickly get a cheap D lock off.

Any cheap lock is just a deterrent (usually in a very public place) to stop a thief merely walking off with the bike. It's horses for courses. If you are commuting with an old cheap bike then this lock will do fine.

If it's a grands worth of bike then you'll be spending a whole lot more on a lock, and given it's more stealable, more likely to get nicked whatever.

Get a grip. This is £11 all in and has some very useful stuff in it. If you were to disect this and buy the best component individually, you could be spending twice as much as your bike is worth.

My point was, this isn't a commuter kit, so yes perfect for you.
