Cycle Helmet, Canyon Mirage, £8.99 delivered at NP Autoparts

savasaintsavasaint

Just in time for the post Tour de France and Olympic cycling resurgence....

Seems an excellent price for a good helmet. I've had one for a few years and found it well made and comfortable to wear. Has good padding and the "dial fit" fastening to give a tight fit. Only the Royal Blue seems to be this price, the others colours are £4 dearer and unless you're particularly fussy re colour ....

Might not suit everyone as it's good to try the fit, but I think the helmet is great.

At Amazon it gets 5/5 from 4 reviews so I'm not alone in liking it!

As spotted by chillbill it's also on ebay via NP Autoparts for the same price.

I have no idea about sizing, would be the equivalent of a Large? I have a pretty big head...
    savasaint
It is up to 62cm, that is pretty large, this is more of an XL. Fits my big head anyway!

Try looking here for a sizing guide.

Bought 2 of these for £20 delivered 3 months ago. Good quality helmets at a great price. Had a problem with the online order and called them up and the customer service was fantastic. Would highly recommend.

Thanks OP. Sweet deal. Heat added. Now I can return the crappy Argos one I bought last week, as this clearly looks to be better quality. :)

    Don't forget 10% TCB! (_;)

Yep, better than no helmet, i cycle 50 miles a week and see plenty of non helmet cyclists, which imo is crazy.

Ordered, thanks OP, although have a look around before buying, don't do what I did and get excited by the price and just order, there are plenty of others for only a few quid dearer.

I've been after a helmet for a week or so and have seen nicer, but will give this a look first for this price, well worth a punt.

I'm sure sainsburys sell these for only £10 as bought one a few months back, good helmet though, not as stylish as some but then doesn't look like a
Half a water mellon like some so cheap ones!

Good spot. I did look on ebay but as they hadn't used "Mirage" in the title I missed it. They have 785 left there so plenty of stock. I'll update the original post to state this.

same here . also the idiots riding with headphone in

When I cycle without a helmet I feel so vulnerable. It's amazing that some people don't even think about wearing one. Like Wiggo said, they should be made compulsory.

My son fell off his bike once when he was very young. The loud noise we heard as his helmet hit the the tarmac was sickening when you imagine that could've been his skull.

"In Your Opinion" being the key phrase, because that's exactly what it is; your opinion.
A helmet is a personal choice, there are already enough nanny rules in this country without idiots voluntarily putting others up for suggestion.
