I use two of these with Cammy's (https://www.cammy.com/gb/) free service to record images when motion is detected in the house. They're a bit fiddly to set up but haven't skipped a beat since. I'll be buying a couple more at this price.

This is the cheapest I can find. Same price at eBuyer. I'm waiting to see whether Flubit can do any better.

Hope this helps someone!

How can you use a non-cammy camera with the cammy service?
I looked a while ago but thought the only option was to buy/rent one of their own cameras.

You can set these dlink cameras up to do FTP image capture but it's not very good. Good price for these is £25 when they occasionally come up on ebuyer.

I was about to say these are often under £30 :) I turned one into an external camera myself : blog post on it

how exactly do you use these with cammy? you can't even set up an account without signing up to one of their plans!

Don't know what cammy is but hubby got a Sricam SP009C from Gearbest for about £12. Dead easy to set up, even I could have done it but didn't want to show him up - we can log in from our Android phones, record or take pics. Quality pretty good for viewing on a phone but WTF it was £12. You need your own power supply though.
No port forwarding to set hubby is shouting from the kitchen - shut up and finish the washing up I'm shouting from the sofa!

I've seen this blog post before - it's great. I do think you could improve the enclosure however - if you glued a small piece of pipe around the lease and to the glass of the enclosure - I bet you would be able to use night mode without reflective glare :-)

The Sricam (or any of the other million Chinese rebrands) are absolute junk. Mine made a constant buzzing noise which I found to be coming from the auto-focus component so had to unplug that and now have to focus manually by rotating the lens. Also the many different rebrands of the same iPhone app is junk too, very intermittent to connect over WiFi however connects over mobile internet ok. Theres absolutely no security so anyone on the network can view the cameras using a URL like rtsp://10.0.1.15:554/onvif1

Got one of these from ebuyer when they dropped, perfect as a baby monitor but image quality for anything else is average

Well ours works fine, it does have a password but since it's in the garden shed showing the bird table and nuts hanging outside that isn't a big issue, as hubby has just said "who'd want to look at my tits",
must go now I have to hit someone
