This D-Link DCS-935L for £55.98 seems like a good deal since it is HD compared to the 2 on amazon that are a similar price:

D-Link DCS-932L costs £55.50 on amazon
D-Link DCS-933L costs £52.98 on amazon

Is it possible to record with the device?

i.e. something may get nicked when I am not watching the live stream.

Thanks.

I hope there is a way to record. To cloud would be even better.

My gut instinct is saying this D-Link is better.
1 spec difference I can see is that the motorolas night vision is rated up to 2 metres whilst this d-link is rated to see up to 5 metres.

You can make one that records using a raspberry pi for not much more than this.

I have the D-link 932L (non-HD version) and its fine for basic monitoring. Setup is a bit fidly and monitoring to the outside through a window is ok until it gets dark (due to reflection in glass). I was going to mount it in a box to hang under the gutter but didn't get round to it. Reviews of both on Amazon indicates that the Motorola is better.

This is a nice all-in-1 though with a HD camera that can see in Day & Night. Should be more reliable/tidier than setting up a pi.

Worth looking at the Foscam FI9821 which has Pan and Tilt capabilities too and is only £7.76 dearer (when you enter discount code "Valentines" at check out)

experienced foscam - never again! the worst customer support i have ever encountered. bought about £500 worth of cameras for shops, couldnt get them to work and because they didn't know why either they never got back to me!

I'll get one when they are 20 quid or less as they do seem quite interesting.

I don't need HD... a 360p would do me fine and below £30 please....

Got an old IOS or Android device? Can use them to act as security cameras.

Swings and roundabouts really. I've had a D-link IP Camera before and it was an absolute pig to set up. I have got six Foscam cameras and had support for a faulty one that was handled very promptly. I also find the support people and users on the Foscam forums very helpful.

Anyone recommend an ip camera that is also waterproof and with intercom, so I can screen cold callers via my mobile? Or perhaps what would be needed to set up a raspberry pi to do that?

That would be great if anyone on the planet would explain what a Rasberry Pi is and how to work it

Have a look at my earlier post regarding the Foscam FI9821W. This has an SD card reader built in meaning you can capture any motion that may occur to an SD card. Here's a couple of videos I recorded last year on the Foscam FI9821W (you can view them in 720p too)

Hello, do it record onto laptop/phone? I'm looking to buy for shop while I'm in it

Price jumps to £72.98 + p&p when going through checkout.

Heat..any recording samples from this cam please?
#32
Mmm however the DCS 932 is on ebuyer for £26 at mo. I have one of these (dont know how it compares with the 935), but i'm happy with it. Quite adequate for an internal night vision IP camera. dlink interface is obviously the same too.
#33
Expired the price is £72.98

Looking at the Foscam myself. Is it easy to set it up so I can check on it remotely? My aunt wants one for her place so it needs to be very easy to set up - she's not the most tech-savvy!

Still have absolutely no idea.. And I'm tech savvy. I used to write games on the spectrum:3
