a lot reviewers say it as advertised as 500 mbps but actually speed doesn't even reach 200mbps. if your connecting to a 10/100 switch it wont matter but if you want a a faster device and using through a gigabit switch you may have issues with speed. good for the price

These didn't work for me before. (_;) They kept dropping the signal. I was so upset after a day of in and out connection I returned it the next day. I've since settled on a set of Buffalo powerlines and they are amazing...really not a single time yet to drop a connection (unless the broadband is down due to ISP fault) and have gigabit ports.

Hi. Im really confused about how these work. Hope someone can help. I have a weak signal in my bedroom. If I buy one of these sets and plug one of the units into a socket in my bedroom, will that mean i get a stronger signal for using my tablet, phone and laptop wirelessly there, or will it only produce a stronger signal in the bedroom if i physically hook something upto it with a wire?

I've had d-link powerlines before and can confirm they're the worst I've ever used.

Drop connection loads (where all others didn't) and the support software won't even load.

If they can't get their software right, imagine how naff the hardware probably is.

Honestly... cheap powerlines are a false economy.

Thanks for your response. Am I correct in thinking that a wifi repeater would be better for my problem then?

These are not £12.48 but £15.99 plus delivery which I think is just under £4.

PC World sell ON NETWORKS - PL500-199UKS Powerline Adapter Kit – Twin Pack for the same price in the store - which is better value.
