hot for me
#2
This seems really cheap compared to other companies selling this...

Cheers OP - haver gone for one.
#3
It is cheap and therefore likely to be pulled shortly.
#4
Wow - just ordered one. Delivery is not till January 5th 2009 :-(
#5
Hot! I'll jump on this! Been after similar for ages, but didn't want to spend that much.
#6
Not sure this will come off as its a preorder. But here's hoping ;-)
#7
Could do with one of these - says not released until january?

vote hot though
#8
Great deal if they deliver at this price, personally can't see them honouring it when it actually comes into stock.

Heat added all the same.
#9
If i pre order when do they actually take my cash?

on dispatch
#11
£109 for 2 bay version on Amazon, so has to be HOT:thumbsup:
#12
Must be a misprice
#13
surely they honor preorder prices though?

ordered 1 anyway. Lets see what happens.

Queue the "ive ordered 20" posts LMFAO
#14
I'm after a 4 bay nas but i dont want to wait until the 5th of jan to find out they wont honor the price.
#15
got to be a misprice item... cant be this cheap
#16
Anyone know if this supports DLNA or works with a PS3?
#17
RRP is $499
or about £333

SUPER HOT
if i had the moneys, i'd go for this
#18
This is a missprice, But worth a go, but when its selling at £220+ everywhere it is very unlikely Play will delivery on the price.
But I thought that when I ordered the Dell netbook 2 weeks ago, and it arrived. :)

Heat added - Great spot

2 reviews here and here state that bitTorrent is NOT supported. :(
#20
is the 5% Rac still working?
#21
What EXACTLY is this for?

Does it simply replace the drives that you would have in your pc case?
Does your home pc simply then boot up from this device?

Just had a hdd failure that had some important data on it that is possibly lost so seeking to try and prevent same ever happening again

or is it simply a case of setting up a RAID inside the pc from the motherboard
#22
Order one. Now lets wait and see.
#23
WOW! Mega cheap....
if anyone doesnt know whether or not this is cheap...well ive been looking for a few months now but the cost has put me off as i cant justify the expense when you looking at approx £150-350 for a 2 bay without drives and £300-600 for a 4 bay without drives...was looking at qnap and netgear readynas or maybe synology but this will do...my bro has the 2 bay one and it works fine....the qnap and netgear offer more functionality but depends if you will use it

ordered one in 30 secs of seeing this...the 2 bay version is 70.00

knowing play though theyll cancel and not let you know. my faith in play will be restored if they honour this

Shame because I would buy if it did! Being able to leave this on all day to download torrents would be great.
#25
Cheers OP - just ordered. Hopefully the honour the pre-orders :-D

It is on the 323, but that was only added via a firmware upgrade
#29
ordered.... good if they honour the price.... not a lost if they dont

thanks for the deal... super hot
#30
Couple this with 4 x 1tb drives at £75 each.
Total price of £372.99
#31
went for it, already got the 2 bay version, but this will flog it if this comes off...
#32
Got a 2 bay icy box one from dabs the other day for a client which is wicked, ordered one of these myself so will compare. hot hot hot
#33
ordered mine!
#34
Don't expect to get it, but ordered just in case.
#35
See this is something I'd really like to use if I had my own place, but at the moment there's no need for me to get it. Still hot though :)

*edit* Might aswell try I suppose :D
#36
Good Price see review here but id not want to use Bit Torrent on it as you can't run PeerGuardian. Still amazingly good deal  See how it compares withother NAS devices here
#37
Ordered, cheers OP, but this is turning into a case of "two hopes..and one of them is dead"
#38
Almost definitely won't be honored especially as they are selling the 323 2 bay version for £135!
Ordered anyway, you have to speculate to accumulate, it'll be handy to replace my bulging Buffalo Linkstation and add RAID.
#39
So it won't do torrents for you, what about newsgroups?
#40
ordered one, not holding much hope as they're going for around/above the £300 mark.
