The next generation wireless standard Draft N (Draft 1.0 IEEE 802.11n) delivers total performance and coverage, thereby surpassing all previous wireless standards. Draft N was approved in January 2006 and is set to be finalised early 2007. The draft standard delivers data transfer rates of up to 300Mbps, whereas the final standard will increase these to 600Mpbs.

Upgrade your computers Wi-Fi and access the Internet quickly and easily from anywhere in your home or office. This adapter works best with a dualband or quadband router (DIR-825/DIR-855), but also with any other type of wireless router.With Wireless N Dualband, you can choose to switch to either the commonly used 2.4 GHz or the interference-free 5 GHz frequency, both of which guarantee incredible coverage with virtually no dead spots and speeds of up to 300 Mbps.No experience required, simply insert the enclosed CD into your computer and the installation wizard will do the rest.

I had one of these that came with my D-Link Router (until I physically broke it) and found it to be excellent - much better than any of the other adapters (both PCMCIA and USB) I had used with my laptop (pre built in wireless). I always got an excellent connection strength and the speed increase over a G adapter was highly noticeable.

Considering I paid £44 for the router and the adapter I cant vote this hot though.

I like this bit...

'Draft N was approved in January 2006 and is set to be finalised early 2007;

It's almost 2010, perhaps they could update their product info, though I don't believe it's been finalised yet?

Otherwise, most people can get a freebie from their ISP, or low cost, worth checking with them, and see what deals going.

These things are over-priced, almost 3 months the rental cost of broadbajnd, and you still have to purchase a Draft N router to work with this, to get the specific benefits of this technology. Yikes!
