Has been at this price for sometime now, but not seen it on here, so thought I would share it.

It's Sainsburys own brand Red, and has been reduced from £39.99 to £19.99

Good price, but only a trailing wire for an antenna, compared with the cheapo I bought from TJ Hughes which has a long 'whip' type antenna.

nice price but the BBC are talking about pulling out of DAB and if they do this technology will be dropped

these will become 'wifi' soon I would think

THE BBC ARE TALKING OF PULLING OUT OF FM, NOT DAB

I had one of these for Christmas when it was half price. The clock display is linked to a light sensor so basically when it's dark the display dims and you can't see the time - which is ridiculous!

Back it went!

Don't be ridiculous, most people who listen to the radio do so in their cars, unless they think everyone is going to buy a new car stereo to listen to some breakfast show on the way to work?

'Only' 6music and Asian network:-

bit of a bummer as 6music is my second most listened to station after Planet Rock :x: x

.. and there is no firm date or commitment for the UK to switch to DAB+ either. :whistling:

I also had to return one of these after keeping it for two weeks because I couldn't see the display from a few feet away. I've now gone back to my old red LED display which I can see from anywhere in my bedroom.

Probably sounds as bad as it looks :-(

Sound is ok but like all the others the poxy display is a nightmare. Also mine has frozen several times so a good job I don't use it as an alarm clock. Gonna take it back and swap it for an Ipod docking one lol

Gawd, I so hope they do pull out of FM. Don't know about other people but I'm so sick of getting a million BBC channels when I'm scanning the frequencies. Why can we pick up the same channel on 5 different frequencies in one location? :x I really don't think there's much requirement for Radio Wales in Lancashire.

all I'll say is watch this space :whistling:

Does it have an AUX input for an iPod or whatever?
#15
page 32 strategy review does say they will invest in dab

the coverage however is likely to be through freeview or sat

plus the team are all moving north

Not sure its worth buying if its not DAB2 Compliant (uses AAC+ Codec). Still might be ok for a few years...

Tempting to get another DAB; my wife always listens to BBC Asian Radio but I want to listen to 6 music.

Oh, wait....
