DAB / FM radio reduced to £21.99 @ Argos

Just got this radio. Have had my eye on it for around a month at £25 and noticed it's just gone down to £21.99
Appears not to be in the new catalogue, so likely to be store specific, however it's a nice looking radio which sounds OK for the price. Good reviews on the Argos website too.

Excellent price. Reserved one to pick up tomorrow. Heat added.

Thanks, been after another of these, good price.

Got one last time it was on offer. Good radio, people said the speakers were terrible. I have had problems when it loses a signal (not the usual squelchy sound) and it sounds like the speakers are faulty but a quick rescan solves the problem.

Such a copy of the Pure Evoke 2XT (now 2S), possibly the best sounding digital radio made so far.

If you want the real thing its Here for £149 (You won't regret it, one of the best thing's I ever bought, still going strong after 5 years on the kitchen window sill)

Still, hot for this anyway, good as a work radio etc.

Wow you really are a cautious buyer enjoy the £3

Bought this a few months ago for £29.99. Great little radio.

Re the "squelchy" noise on DAB, assuming you're a 6Music listener, this seems to be an ongoing issue for a while with this station. You notice that when you tune in to others, the reception is fine. Haven't had it as bad the last few weeks, but it still happens.

Long live analog......

****, just bought an additional speaker for my Pure Evoke 1-S for the same price as this entire radio :(

I am but this isn't that kinda noise. It sounds like the speakers are clipping.

Bought a similar spec Bush a few months ago - pretty good value; a bit lacking in bass but good clear sound. I'm now getting this one for another room. Thanks for posting!

Thanks very much!! Been looking for a decent priced dab and I've just been and bought this!
#23
No stock anywhere near me :(

Voted hot, the LCD display gave up out of warranty on mine, but still good value!

Great just ordered for pick-up tommorrow. Thanks

If you can reserve what's left, and you have the available kitchen space (it's not that much bigger than my DAB radio actually), this FM/DAB/Bluetooth hi-fi at £29.97 is even better value http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/sandstrom-sdbxhfb13-wireless-traditional-hi-fi-system-with-bluetooth-dab-39-98-delivered-1953607

I've just replaced my kitchen DAB (Sony XDR-S16, which I'm going to put in my bedroom) with this, and it rocks!!

Reserved at Penrith, Cumbria. Thank you Op!

Thanks, am going to treat myself to this. Have reserved one

I was given one of these, if you live next to the transmission site you may be lucky to receive DAB.
Otherwise you will be listening to FM which you can do on any old radio.

Long live analog......
Only until the regulator sets minimum bit rates that force the money-grabbing radio groups to broadcast at even half-decent quality ;)
#34
Will this work in Spain for Dab and all available channels?
#35
Do you know what the definition is? There's a good reason why it won't accept it!

quote=a_user]Why does it not like the word b u g g e r. Bad word filter being a bit overly aggressive...[/quote]

I have just got the black one of these for my kitchen I'm very impressed with the quality and sound, now my boyfriend is trying to pinch it for fishing so I've ordered him this one :-)
#37
Had one of these as a 2nd dab radio for the house........poor signal receiving ability, fairly poor speakers and the aerial snapped off (very easily).

oos in twenty stores - release the geese!

I've got this unit, used Daily since Christmas and it's been great.

I returned mine due to irritating vibration noise on the spoken word.
