Very good reviews it's a bargain with mains adapter as well

Its funny how 1 Watt on one thing is more then sufficient, but 1 Watt on something else blatantly aint happening .....

1 Watt on a Radio is sweeeeeeet! .. 1 Watt on a Laptop is pure pants! lol. :-)

I had the previous value range model which was very small and the sound was weak,it didnt pick up as many stations as it should have either, hopefully they have fixed some of those issues with this newer model.

As its argos you can easily take it back if its a disappointment so worth a go at this price.

i currently have a couple of cheap Bush dabs from argos which have been excellent considering the price.

Bush from wayyyyyyy back in the old CRT TV Days, were already well known for pushing out quality budget Products (considering the real Price of 'Consumer Goods' back then ... )

Bush's quality budget stable of Products only proved to get better in it level of 'quality' when Philipps bought them out Years later ..... (& that was quite some Years ago too ... ) so stands to reason ... :-)

will this get Planet Rock
#9
Planet Rock depends if available in your area. I picked up the wooden one yesterday and can get it in Great Yarmouth :)
#10
Bought one of these a couple of years ago. They're not too bad at all.
#11
would you say its best to stay with the previous wooden bush DAB radio (£14.99) - i need to pick it up tomorrow

Surely for £2 more this is a better option? http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/2558880.htm

If you can find it that is.

Don't bother' these are shore. Had one and keep constantly dropping signal on digital. Tried everything including adding wire to extend the aerial, moving rooms nothing worked. Paid £8 more fore a pure digital radio and was 100% better. Bargain is one thing but not for something that ain't that good

Planet Rock now owned by Bauer Group, who knows how long this station will last now they own it...... Absolute 90's, also owned by them has just disappeared from my area this month. Which has pisd me off.

A little known fact - bush, goodmans et al also used to make the internals for Phillips and some Toshiba sets.

Shame that they're now the "badge" that Argos stick on their own-brand crap these days.

I use on of these a a small creative labs 2.1 pc speaker in the kitchen. sounds awesome!

So another one that Bauer has dumped then, must admit I didn't know that as 60's music isn't my thing.
Did listen to Smooth 70's though..... and that went last year as well.
#23
I have one, the on-off switch is on the back, but apart from that very good value.

More of a clue than those who have no experience of the product!

I hope Planet Rock stays. It's a great station and has good, knowledgeable presenters. Particularly enjoy the Alice Cooper show.

Yeah, its a great station.

Plugged in headphones and noticed
alot of noise when dab is working.
Took it back next day.

Not too noticable through its speaker.
Not very loud.

Bush is simply a brand name which Argos put on any old electrical tat they have to shift.

Not saying this radio isn't good value but don't be a brand mug!

When the same product is on offer, Argos reviews tend to score higher than Amazon reviews. What we don't know is if Argos do any moderating (where poor reviews may disappear).

Can anyone who has this radio tell me if it has 'quiet' buttons or click buttons. I just bought one but it is a different one to the one in the picture (I really wanted the layout of the one in the picture) & the buttons make a loud click, unfortunately enough to wake the wife up.

The only thing 'old' BUSH and Argos' BUSH have in common is the same four letters in the same order.

Just got the wooden Bush one for £14.99, only when I got it home I realised there is no headphone/aux out Jack (other than that it does seem to work well).

This one does have a jack but probably has a worse speaker and has clicky buttons instead of knobs so it depends what you want, I think I will swap it for this one and get £2 back :)

Colder than a fish fingers ice cream. Had one a few yrs ago. Awful sound and then just died. Couldnt be fussed to replace it, bought a decent one instead.
#35
bought one myself. its ok for price.one good point is the power supply will charge my Pure One Flow Internet radio. managed to get 2 power supplies.. as had to take first radio back as its not very good with headphones plugged in. you get that annoying hissing sound, second radio is the same. but works ok on speaker.
