It's about time these came down in price. Can anyone provide any feedback on this specific radio?

does seem like a bargain. can be plugged into mains or battery only do you think?
also any chance it has a headphone socket? (so i can use bigger speaker, not headphones, lol)

Mains and battery operated(_;)

Does anyone know what size batteries this takes?
#7
Anyone seen one of these yet?
I can't see if it would be suitable as a DAB radio clock/alarm for the bedroom.

These things have been a silly price for a long time but hopefully we're starting to see them come down now - I just hope the DAB we're getting isn't a lemon
(I hear the rest of Europe is going for DAB+......which is going to be great in the car on holiday over there. Not)

I have 2 Pure's and a Roberts....however that doesn't make a £15 DAB a bum deal

great deal,

was thinking of getting a DAB but i wasn't sure if i'd be in a good enough signal area (notoriously bad around here) Didn't want to waste £40+ on one, but £15 is hard to knock even if it's just to test with
#13
Is it DAB+? Bet it isn't - be warned that the UK is going to go with DAB+ too, so when the switchover takes place, this radio may not get all the stations.

seems like a stonking deal, been waiting for this myself!

I have a sony micro stereo with dab which is great, a phillips ipod doc with dab, again great and my sony car stereo with dab, yet again great, dab is brilliant and I aint sure that the brand makes too much of a difference in abaility to recieve the signal. However, i am sure it changes the length of time the product will last!

My missus wants a radio for the kitchen (god knows why as our kitchen door is by the bloody stereo but hey ho keep her happy, may take a look)
#18
Good deal, is it store specific or not?
#19
it does have an alarm. it has 10 presets rather than the 5 stated.
the sound quality isnt great, but its ok for what i want.
oh and it does have a headphone socket
#20
I presume it's mono.
What size batteries does it take?
Do you have to be in a strong signal area to receive all the stations?

I am going to be brutally honest seen as I have just spent £15 on this......

IT IS ABSOLUTE ****!!!

Sound quality is so bad even at low volume levels, and I mean loooooooooooow levels, try to turn it up and you can hardly make out what is on it become so distorted, keep your £15 in your pocket!!

Mine is going back tomorrow to my local store, it really is piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiish!

Make use of your £10 and £5 note, if you run out of loo roll, wipe your **** on it!! that is how bad this radio is!
#22
They had one working in our local, and it is mono with a typical transistor radio sound with no bass and quite tinny

I would not rate one for the kitchen or any regular use. Probably just for travel or occasional use otherwise get something with better sound
#23
They are charging £4.95 for picking up instore if you order online. That's a liberty, every other retailer I have dealt with has no charge for instore pickup!
#24
Bought one tonight, well worth the money very pleased

Does this have a AUX port so I can hook my iPod into it?
