Not much use as a tuner as it doesn't have an aerial in socket [so you'll have to stick the telescopic up] and there is no remote - ok as a semi-portable dab but that's about all it does.

..make sure you inspect the box & contents ...opened mine up on impulse at the till-point. , just as well I did ..the box was missing the charger , manual & wrist strap, quickly swapped for me after checking the contents of another box!!

Hot! Stock in Beckton (East London)

Not anymore :-(

None in Birmingham area. Nearest quoted is Kidderminster.

Beware if travelling - my experience with DSG is their stock records are hopeless - you could travel miles for one that isn't there when they go to search (or maybe they just can't be bothered?).

I got one of these for Xmas last year (£65 and that was cheap at the time). Best thing about it is that it is totaly portable. Charge lasts ages (only seem to charge it every couple of months. you can use the headphone socket to covert a stereo at home into Dab. Reception is brilliant inside or out. At this price totally hot!

The point RedSkywalker was making was not that it would be no good with its telescopic aerial. He was making the point that because you have to use the telescopic aerial, this radio is pretty much useless as a hi fi separate. In any case, this radio has no special feature that enables it to be used as a hi fi separate. It has a headphone socket and is no more or less suitable for use as a hi fi tuner than any other radio that has a headphone socket.

This Pure radio's a fantastic piece of kit .Previously I'd bought the Hitachi DAB rechargeable radio

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/253527/hitachi-kh1105-black-dab-digital-ra/

and it struggled to get a signal in my work place presumably because of the useless wiry aerial
I used my new Pure radio at work yesterday.& too right it was pulling the signal out of the air effortlessly with the aerial down!!

By the way that Hitachi radio is still available ..have seen on shelves in some currys stores even though it says unavailable on website
