This looks like a great deal - do you know if it's frreeview and HD ready? The description is a bit too technical for me lol

BE WARNED!! Ordered this one about two weeks ago but it's not as desribed on their web site and it's going back. After over 10 messages through their web site (there is no telephone support) with no answer I have now instigated a credit card chargeback. My advce is if you are unlucky enough to have a problem with Dabs.com (or BT.shop, which is the same company) keep a copy of all your communication and NEVER pay with anything other than a credit card for your protection. There is no customer support and the 'live chat room' does exactly what the name suggests, chat but not deal with a problem. I will never buy anything from dabs or bt.shop again. I'm afraid it's cold from me because with a bad company, no matter how good the price is, everything is a bad deal.

Reviews are good, what was not as described then?

BE WARNED!!

I had a bad delivery experience recently, although not directly Dabs fault, (although of course they engage the company) they were a lot less than useless, and positively DISinterested so it comes as no surprise to me :-(

Blinder of a price though!

It is not suitable as a PC monitor through VGA, this is what I tried. I don't have DVI so it may be different through the HD socket. There is no audio-out as stated in the specs, so your are stuck with the tinny speakers. No s-video either. I may have got the wrong TV delivered but unfortunately, there is no way for me to find out because dabs does not have a customer service. I have asked for a return through web messages but had no answer for the last ten days (except automated receipts for my messages). You are taking an enormous risk by buying from dabs. I am claiming my money back through Barclaycard now.

I can use my Samsung 32" as a monitor through VGA?

I connected my Dell laptop to the VGA socket as I do with my 22" monitor but it did not work on this TV although I set the TV to the correct VGA input, maybe something wrong with it. BTW picture from the freeview box was terrible compared to my old CRT tv, DVD was a bit better but not great either. There is no freeview in this TV. I am looking at the Toshiba from Tesco for £289 with freeview. I had good experience with Tesco customer service.

I will do a review of the TV as soon as I get my hands on it. The actual URL of the product is http://www.digimate.co.uk/product/LTV-3212H.htm (dabs description says 3212H but the header says 3212). You can view more reviews at http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=AV-019-OK with what appears to be a picture of the screen

They are on sale on Fleabay for nearly £300 btw and on Microdirect for more than £315 delivered. Oh and you can buy with Nationwide's credit card to get 2 additional years on your warranty

I looked at the Digimate web site before I purchased mine and found out that the Dabs tv I received DOES NOT fit the Digimate LH3212 description, I don't think it's the same tv.

So you got the LTV-3212 instead of the 3212H? Actually I don't think there is a LTV-3212... See this Digimate webpage http://www.digimate.co.uk/product/lcdtv.htm

If it's going to be your main TV then I would seriously try to find the extra £120 and but the Samsung LE32A456.http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/211630/samsung-le32a456-32-hd-ready-digita
Otherwise, wait until the major brands come down further in price.

Be warned if your tv breaks down you are screwed
Digimate are shocking in terms of warranty. My TV broke down and it took them nearly 6 weeks to send a replacement

Same goes for their monitors, check out this thread over at overclockers

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17806175&page=141

Lots of people tlaking about taking Digimate to court as they have been wihtout a monitor for 3+ months.Btw digimate promise a repair/replacement inside 7 working days!

Like some of the other posts say I personally would through experience never buy through DABS again though i used to be a regular customer before they scrapped customer service - Its a good price but the customer service is appaling no phone number, email takes days between each question/reply/re-question and re reply - took ages to get any sense out of them. Shame DABs are good value but if you have a problem you certainly pay for it !

Dabs and BT shops are worst when it really comes to CS!!! and as pet2000 and other have said the live chat only do what it says on the tin just chat and nothing else. they are the worst company I have ever seen. Possibly a new generation of call centre type i can see where you don't hear them but are same people more or less.

A Digimate bought from Dabs/BT. Now that's what I call living dangerously. :whistling:

What I am saying is that the Dabs Value 32" LCD TV, quicklinx: 52TXWS, mfr#: LTV-3212 is not the Digimate LTV-3212H as described on their web site (at this link http://www.digimate.co.uk/product/LTV-3212H.htm). You can come to my place and have a look if you don't believe me. If you get the same tv from Dabs as I did, you will be disappointed and will have lost your money unless you can claim from your credit card company.
#22
i would agree. avoid dabs. if you have issues with your order, you're screwed.
i ordered a tv from them, which the delivery company they used said was too heavy to get off the truck. Dabs did nothing to sort it out, and in the end the TV was returned as a non-delivered item. was refunded about a week latter. They have no contact no, other than the useless web chat site

I will take your advice.. I did purchase it on my credit card for that very reason as well.

Are you sure its 2 additional years warranty with a Nationwide card as I was under the impression that it was one additional year.I must admit that although I use my Nationwide card I have never had to make a claim.

I can use my Samsung 32" as a monitor through VGA?

well I use both my samsung 37 chappies for just that. MIne are LE37R88BD and the picture is great on 1366x768 resolution.

I use a seperate sound souce as the samsung speakers are a wee bit less than OK but would do at a push. Remember if you're goping down this route (sound too), you'll need VGA and audio connection to your samsung.

Me Likee:thumbsup:

I was saying that I DO use my samsung as a monitor (or can) so why couldn't I use this. It was being suggested that this LCD's VGA didn't work?

Hope you have better luck than me. I paid £235 inclusive delivery for mine btw, this is why I got hooked into the deal but it's not worth even for that low price. As they say "you get what you pay for".
#28
Went ahead and got one... But for some reason, there's no sound coming out from the speakers... The pic quality is good enough for me though... I read through the manual and found nothing in there. Some help would be welcomed..

Sound is now working... The SCART plug was not properly pushed in at the STB's end...

I can connect my computer straight with the screen, no problem...

This may seem like a daft question but did you set your laptop to the correct Screen Resolution to display on this screen?? Unfortunately it is not just a case of plugging it in and the display coming up!!
