An odd screen but it looks like a fairly good price.

20" in 4:3 format = less than 15" widescreen 16:9. This would be a very small screen for watching tv and DVDs. You get better 15" widescreen for less money. AND ONLY BUY FROM DABS IF YOU ARE A GAMBLING ADDICT. IT'S TOO RISKY.

20" at 4:3 is nominally 16" wide and 12" high (area 192 sq")
15" at 16:9 is nominally 13" wide and 7.3" high (area 96 sq")
the 4:3 may be a non-optimal shape, but it certainly ain't smaller than the 15" 16:9

Put a widescreen DVD 16:9 in your player and see! It will be smaller than 15" W.

bad for watching movies and gaming i think... but good if you're reading long articles. not voting on this one.

4:3 is a non-optimal shape? You must have some wierdly shaped webpages in your part of the country. Widescreen is good for some things, 4:3 for others.
