Sometimes Daddy needs a really powerful saw, especially if the garden is overgrown and a chainsaw really comes in handy! This cool imitation power tool is just the thing for cutting through tree trunks, branches and other big tasks. With its realistic 'chainsaw blade' and safety guard, it revs up at the touch of a button, just like a real one. Daddy will be really impressed and his little assistant will be the star of the day!

im voting hot because its cold in here but i do think its a little dangerous having a kid in the garden using this when your using a real chainsaw, obviously you wouldnt do that but the description makes it sound like you should and so some people would let kids play with this at same time, but i think im just speaking rubbish cos its early just ignore me
#2
Not sure about giving it to a child, but it's genius for halloween!
#3
I think all children should be encouraged to play with chainsaws!
#4
I think its a good idea, at least when they try to mug you you'd hear them coming with a chainsaw, I think i'll take the kitchen knife away form my daughter and get her one of these instead

Voted hot

completley stupid!!! a chainsaw is one of the most dangerous tools to use why would you want kids to start thinking they can play with them???

And play lawnmowers, cars, motorcycles, kitchens (with play knives), tool sets with hammers/saws etc its all made to make children to learn safely - and most of all have fun.
The safety police are out in force today lol!
Though i must admit having a child 'with daddy' when using one of the most dangerous machines you can buy for the garden is a bit clueless!
BTW if you want to teach your children how to kill, mame and disembowel properly - let them watch 'Itchy and scratchy' on the simpsons, they are the true masters of the chainsaw etc!

You really think that? :w00t:

I think you have actually missed the ENTIRE POINT of Itchy & Scratchy on the Simpsons, and if that's the case, probably missed the whole point of the entire show!

It is SATIRE. It's a common misunderstanding, but I thought that was mainly the reason that children love it so much, not the reason adults do!

On a side note, Itchy's chainsaw looks like a Gamecube.

i cannot believe how retarded this is.

Good deal, just ordered one for my little boy. I don't see the problem with kids playing with this, when toy guns and knives have been on the market forever. Heat added;-)
#18
ffs its only a toy, are we going to bad mouth tool kits for kids next because a child might be encouraged to hammer a real nail intohis friends forehead :p

voted hotto pi$$ off the lefties in here

its here if you wanna buy it

I think you'll find it harder to find toy guns and knives these days (certainly realistic ones). Yes, the world has become far too PC recently but frankly I don't understand why anyone would choose to buy these things for their kids when there are so many other options around. And no, I'm not at all 'left leaning'!

A bit surprising it's from M&S too.

I had guns as a kid and stand as a warning to you all (once I finish this 10 year stretch that is)! ;-)

Just ordered one of these... heat added! :-)

H&R!
Great for me - will use it at MX days and to put off our local actors at the Xmas Panto! - Cracking set up now with my squeezy horn and chainsaw! - THANKS!

Maybe they should be renamed S&M :-D

i used to play with tools as a kid. i took apart anything that was no longer working. dishwashers, washing machines used to spend hours having fun seeing how things worked.
The only time i got in trouble, i'd taken apart some la lights shoes and ended up with mercury all over the floor. I also had toy knives, guns, grenades, cars, kitchens etc
so far i have managed to reach 25 without shooting or stabbing anyone.
I think its more to do with your parents teaching you right and wrong than what they give you to play with.

on a side note i bought one for my dad. he's always wanted a chainsaw but after nearly losing his fingers in an act of stupidity with a lawnmower i thought it best he has one of these to play with and learn how to use properly.

What on earth is this country coming to..........................

Whatever next..... don't you remember climbing trees, jumping across rivers, making bow and arrows when you were all kids, lighten up!!!!!!!!!
#27
.... And might I add toys are not the problem, TV and internet is the problem!
#28
perfect for ******** the little feckers knocking on the door this weekend lol :-D

Great voted hot what a load of nonsense all this is it's a bloody toy ul be saying I shud take my daughters fisherprice plastic cooker away next incase she's tempted to turn on the real cooker and put her head on the job!
#30
Giving a child a toy chainsaw is no way of teaching them safety.....

Seriously, it wont even cut them. How are they supposed to learn how dangerous it is if it can't even cause them any harm.
Give them a real one, once they lose a limb or two they'll soon realise what they're doing wrong.

What's wrong with a carving knife, pigs head, and white apron covered in pigs blood? That's what I usually use to scare away the kids on halloween.
banned#32
Note that M&S say this is for boys - no girls allowed here.

Shame they don't do a nail gun too.
#33
Sure this a bad thing to give to a child ? Suggesting a chainsaw is a toy. I wouldnt give my kid one of these esepcially if I worked with tools...

It's a toy chainsaw for gods sake!

Just the same as buying a little girl an iron and ironing board!! There is no way in real life you would let your kid play with an iron and it goes the same way with a real chainsaw...
