Nice, just what I was looking for :)

Silly ratio though as most photos are 4:3 ratio.

If your camera allows you to take pictures in widescreen mode then it will be perfect. If not it will stretch it from 4:3 ratio to 16:9 widescreen. Does anyone know if this has video mpeg playback?

Does this frame have a shuffle function? The resolution is pretty poor anyway. Im not voting cold but I really dont think many frames around at present deserve hot votes as they are obsolete vritually the moment they are bought. Most annyingly hardly any online retailers give any useful information about the frames they sell beyond the screen resolution, and high street stores are little better. Whats the point of uploading gigabytes worth of photos if the frame has no shuffle function and it displays them in the same bloody order all the time, you may as well sit there flicking page by page through your stacks of old photo albums. Dont get me started on teh fact a lot of frames simply come with arbitrary slow/medium/fast transition speeds instead of allowing you to choose your own time interval.
Id be grateful if anyone could point me to a frame that does what you'd expect it to do if it hadnt been designed by a half wit or a cynical capitalist planning on selling you the same tat over and over again

Is that for sure? I've 2 16:9 photo frames already (Kodak and Momento) and they just show black bars by default when displaying 4:3 photo's.

I've gone ahead and bought this for my folks - thought I'd missed it the other day - so hope it is OK, the resolution was the main thing as many cheaper frames only have a poor resolution.

how many cameras take pictures in widescreen? ok, some *can*, and of course video cams will, but who actually *does*?

Good resolution compared to most 7" widescreen versions; but unless you want it as a small video player (and it isn't at all clear how good it is as one) then not much use unless you shoot pics in 16:9 format. Still hot though
