Excellent deal.

Heated & repped.

Good price, but no Freeview, so I think I'd rather put this amount of cash towards something that can do Freeview.

Can you not just connect your freeview box to this if you have one? Anyone know of a similar set up with freeview built in?

Yes, but then you have the problem of changing channel if you want to record programmes on different channels while you're out. Some STBs can do this for you, nut it's just one more thing to go wrong and is more hassle. Much simpler to keep it all in the one box...

Reviewers complain about fan noise. Heat added though.

I have the same problem DVB TV and analog HDD recorder, when they switch over in 2011 it will be messy to use. I will wait till I see a freeview one before I but another one.

wow ! fantastic price !

tempting ...

but anyone know of a similar machine with DIVX playback ?

Is V+ able to archive to a PC? I presume the only way to back up temp storage is using the DVD discs in real time.

Don't know about their DVD stuff, but their cars are rubbish. Voted hot anyway.
