Welcome to HotUKDeals and Thanks for your first deal post :)
5% extra off the price using discount code tecno5 at the checkout too ;-)
I'd have gone for this if it had twin tuners. I might be asking too much for the money.
Thanks from me too rehydrated! I added a bit of info to the title to encourage click-throughs :)
I bought one of these from ebuyer a few months ago. Unfortunately I had to return it as it was riddled with faults.

Besides the faults the GUI was very basic and looked like I had made it myself on an Atari ST520.

Ebuyer were great tho, even collecting it and issuing the refund very fast.
Thanks for the deal rehydrated and welcome to Hukd's :)
My mate bought one of these, the first one had a faulty HD and poor reception, the replacement just had poor reception. It went back to the shop and he now has Sky.
Sorry to say but i think the "top up tv" service has now been stopped pretty much. Been replaced with "top up tv anytime" you have to buy and use a box made by them only. New service is like an on-demand tv service for £10. Check out argos or topuptv.co.uk
Was given one of these at Christmas and they are terrible, firmware bugs galore. Steer well clear.

Oh and the hard drive sounds like a certain piece of machinery you would use to plough a field. Maybe I should run the unit on red diesel rather than plugging it into the mains.

He's gone from bad to worse.
He should have got the Topfield twin tuner PVR. It's very good.
avoid this like a sore ass after a night on the beer and curry, its total crap.
Thank you for the welcome one and all :) Shame it seems like a bit of a clanger...I'll try harder next time ;) Thanks Rayman for uploading the pics
is there a way to export the recorded video as the original dvb stream to put on dvd without re-encoding?
What does the term 'Twin Tuners' mean?
What does the term 'Twin Tuners' mean?

I believe it usually means you can record a channel while watching another at the same time.

Where can I buy the Topfield pvr ?
