Manufacturer's Description
Following the recent trent of black kitchens, Daewoo introduces this stunning high gloss black microwave which would sit perfectly in any modern , contemporary kitchen. The microwave has a large capacity making life just that little bit easier and comes with 10 power levels.

Hmm.. was just looking at this same microwave to buy a few hours ago this afternoon! Seems to be the cheapest at Amazon for this model, although it also seems that this model isn't sold widely everywhere.

Anyone have a personal experience with this particular microwave?
#3
seems a bit steep for a micro only, anoter£20 would get you a combo even/grill micro elsewhere

My microwave is a Daewoo too. Its aweful, although 900w it takes longer to heat things up than the 600w one my parents bought in 1986!

The plates come out much hotter than the food on them. Wouldn't buy anything made by Daewoo ever again.

Had a Daewoo and it was like running a small hovercraft in the kitchen

You do realise that that has everything to do with your plates and pretty much nothing to do with your microwave?

Thanks for this, nothing can be worse than the 17l Microwave Grill I got from Sainsburys for the same dosh. It looks pretty, but it is VERY BAD! Hope this one is better, well worth a try for this price.

As ridiculous as that sounds, it's true!

I have the same microwave as my mum, and things that cook perfectly normally in her microwave on her plates, don't in mine. The plates come out at 300000 degrees with the food just lukewarm!

Well... on the upside, at least you have a really efficient plate-warmer at home!

so...now we need a deal thread for the best plates to microwave!

I've got this microwave and it is OK. It looks nice and is small, but does really heat the plates more than the food (or certain plates anyway).

Its my second Daewoo, our first was fantastic but I miss a grill big time. For people just after a microwave however its decent enough.

I'm looking for another microwave, as my Daewoo has just died after 13+ years, and it has been fantastic. I may well buy this one, and I certainly wouldn't be put off by the brand name, my brother has had the same micro as me for even longer. Heat added.

Ours is faulty too- doesn't make any dodgy noises but doesn't heat up either!

It's going back for a refund - I suspect a dodgy batch.

BE WARNED!! Had two of these microwaves and both stopped heating up the food after approx 2 weeks. The machine itself would operate normally but the food came out stone cold. I returned the second faulty microwave, got money back and went for a good brand. First time I have ever bought a Daewoo product and never again.
