Which would you recommended for family with an active 4 year old girl.

This is a realistic and good price and not misleading. Hate it when holidays are advertised at a bargain price then it costs an extra fortune for gas elec and passaes etc.

I hope they are not bad as are reviews....(Some reviews are excellent and some are bad, so figers crossed)

i have to disagree with jasonwarren pontins southport is the worst ever holiday park!!!! maybe it's just pontins we never went back after southport!!!

Try Coopers Beach Mersea Island ,10 miles south of Colchester Essex. Lovely quiet seaside village, peaceful beach, but there is clubhouse for evening entertainment if you want it. Colchester is a only 10 miles away if you want more life in the evenings, cinema, wine bars, theatre bowling alley and nightclubs. Lived on Mersea Island for 33 yrs - loved it.
#26
Have just booked for Pontins Southport price is for a budget 1 bed apart with pulldown sofa bed in main room, over half the price as going through main pontins website, so i reckon you might as well pay less,& its only somewhere to sleep at the end of the day! Thanks for post, heat added!

Went to Carmarthen Bay last year with The Sun holidays. First chalet was so bad we went straight back to reception to complain. The place was so mouldy and damp they had pulled a wardrobe away from the wall so it could dry out better. The thought of putting bare feet on the carpet when you get out of the bed made us feel sick, the carpet was BLACK. They put another family with children in it later that afternoon too. We were moved to a slightly better chalet but still not brilliant, bath leaked water all over the floor and you had to paddle through water in your shoes afterwards. It seems they fill up these places with people who pay little and if you complain are told basically what do you expect? All they want is your money in the entertainment venues. We won't be wasting our money on these places again.

Yep had a really good time, the caravan park is right next to a long beach, had a great time at nearby Yarmouth, don't think you'll be disappointed.

That review in full:
I'm Belgian and it was my first time to visit a British holiday park.
We were in a chalet. It had everything you need, but nothing more. The chalet looked very outdated and didn't smell fresh.
The swimming pool is a disaster! Has probably been bombed by the 'Luftwaffe' and never been restored since. Some of the security people in the pool were fat and constantly whistling.

great price, so long as you dont expect anything other than dump at these places you wont be disappointed, I went to Pontins Camber Sands a couple of years ago on a football tour, basic is not the word, 6 of us sharing a chalet, you could not even have a someone in the shower and someone else using the cooker as there was a switch which you had to press to allow use of one or other. Made breakfast a challenge!

If you dont mind the state of these places, then you will have a good time, otherwise give them a wide berth.

When calling someone an idiot, it's especially important to double check your spelling and grammar.
Otherwise you might look like the idot. :whistling:

I wish I was switched on enough to spot this earler! No availability where I want to go. Fantastic deal though. Heat

I couldn't find any availability at parks close to us for 4 people but then I noticed that if you search for 6 people there seems to be loads more availability, although it will cost £108 rather than £72, but still a cheap deal, especially as scottish school hols are included, it seems that it is a bit of a con to make more money.
