Great deal, thanks.

Not bad price, but can I ask a question - why do people confuse Dalek with Darlek?
I know loads of people who do this (Some are even huge Doctor Who fans), but I don't understand why, I've never once thought any of the doctors said "darlek"??

Part of the infamous Argos sale listed this morning.

Picked up a couple of theses and some Lunar Jim Helmets too.

Most people pronounce it that way. I know i do.. darlek.

Bargain by the way but i think you may get a few funny looks walking home from work in it!

Darlek is the cornish version of a Dalek

I really really really wouldn't bother wasting your £4.99 on this mask. It's rubbish.

DS got it for christmas (along with just about every other doctor who toy on the market at that time ) and it just doesn't work. Its so useless we took it back thinking it was faulty but nope it really is that rubbish.

It is very top heavy, so even with the straps tightened as much as they can be it still falls off the head when you move, the voice changer thing doesn't work, it just makes your voice echo slightly.

DS's has been at the bottom of his toy box since about 4 days after christmas.

as long as you have a head the size of a 4 year old, you should be fine

Good price. Although I dont really rate the quality of the New Dr Who toys. Not really sure also if they are such a good seller? Always seemed to be reduced in value.

I know, that bothers me too. So much so that I only came onto this thread to point out the spelling mistake in the title. Yes, it kind of sounds like Darlek, except it's spelled Dalek. There shouldn't be that much emphasis on the 'ar' sound. Just the way the English language works.

starting to get slightly offended with all the people coming on here and instead of commenting on the deal they are commenting on my spelling mistakes. its actually quite rude!!!

i typed dalek into google earlier and it corrected it to darlek, so hey if google spell it wrong i can hardly be that stupid. :x

I'm getting one of these delivered to store next week for my son's birthday, if it's not so good it'll be going back. Just to let anyone else know, if it's out of stock and they order it and the price goes up, you'll have to pay the price on the day you go to collect it, not as priced on the day you reserved it/ordered it. May be obvious but good to know.

Thanks to OP.

Sorry, didn't mean to be rude. Just that bad spelling and grammar is a pet peeve of mine (so it's quite ironic that I'm addicted to the internet! :p). Are you sure about Google though? It doesn't correct Dalek, but it does correct Darlek to Dalek.

pet peeve or not, i cant help struggling with my spelling, and people just shouldnt be rude.

yes i am sure about google cos ebay corrects it the other way round. so lots of people get it wrong.

sorry i spelt wrong, had even googled for the pic, and had it corrected to this so can hardly blame me for making a common mistake and one that google had even made me question my spelling to put it that way anyway.

but glad most people think it good deal. wasnt going to post but thought this was shockingly cheap when i saw it in woolies. we bought for daughters 2nd birthday so she wont really mind its poop, as someone said earlier as long as its from "doctor doo" she'll be well chuffed he he:-D

My apologies if I sounded rude, I was genuinely curious as to why so many people think it has an R in it. Don't worry, you're definitely not the only person that makes this mistake, as I said.
Although I'm curious, when I google for "dalek", it doesn't try to correct me, but it does bring up THIS image...

It's things like this that make me love the internet.
