I did it with the last Harry Potter.
Never again.
This might be "half price" on pre-order but you can bet it'll be available in the supermarkets for £8 or less

BTW, who is their right mind would pay nearly twenty quid for a novel ?

mine is pre-ordered at Amazon for roughly the same price and it's a good price. I can't see this been £8 on the day of release from ANY supermarket. There are a LOT of people waiting for this book.

the supermarkets have yet to announce their selling price and always undercut the big bookstores and online sellers :)

Most library services will be ordering MANY copies of this book - get in now and place a reservation and there's a good chance you'll be at the front of the queue for one of the new books. I'm first on the list in my library service, so guaranteed a shiny new copy :)
